The sales guy and the finance manager were helpful and very professional. If I could offer up a suggestion. I wanted to leave midway through my visit for the simple reason that I was hungry. Knowing I c very professional. If I could offer up a suggestion. I wanted to leave midway through my visit for the simple reason that I was hungry. Knowing I could always come back tomorrow. I think car dealerships would hang on to more deals by having a slice of pizza and a soda available to prevent the walkout. More

I visited AutoNation Honda Lewisville yesterday morning with a friend as a serious buyer, fully prepared to purchase a Honda Accord. I had done my research, was ready to discuss numbers, and expected a pro with a friend as a serious buyer, fully prepared to purchase a Honda Accord. I had done my research, was ready to discuss numbers, and expected a professional sales experience. Unfortunately, that is not what I received. From the beginning, the interaction with Scott felt dismissive rather than welcoming. Comments referencing “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and a “golden ticket,” asking whether I wanted the “front or back” of the car because “the front has the engine,” and joking that we owed him $1 for coffee we never had came across as sarcastic and unprofessional. As a customer prepared to make a significant financial decision, I did not find that behavior appropriate. When my friend helped discuss pricing and walked through the math behind a realistic out-the-door number, the tone shifted further. Instead of having a constructive conversation, the response we received was defensive and condescending. Telling customers “that’s not how math works,” only to calculate the exact same figures moments later, does not build trust. It undermines it. What concerned me most was the suggestion that we should consider going to a Hyundai dealership instead. As someone who specifically came to purchase a Honda, being redirected to a competitor felt dismissive and disrespectful. I walked into this dealership ready to buy. I walked out feeling talked down to and undervalued as a customer. To the General Manager: this is not about one awkward joke. It is about professionalism and respect. Buyers who are prepared to make a purchase should be treated with courtesy and seriousness. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future customers do not leave feeling the way I did, More
