First off, I brought our 2009 Prius in for a complete check-up in June 2022 because we were leaving on a road trip, which I expressed to Teddy Margoosian (who was covering for regular advisor Joey Martin check-up in June 2022 because we were leaving on a road trip, which I expressed to Teddy Margoosian (who was covering for regular advisor Joey Martinez that day) and I even described symptoms that indicated an inverter cooling pump issue, but they missed it. We then returned in July when the symptoms worsened and warning indicators and buzzer went off. We made an appointment when Joey was available. During the four days we waited, we researched the problem online. We then had our Prius towed in and suggested to Joey that the inverter cooling pump may be the issue. We pointed out the lack of turbulence occurring in the coolant as a point of concern. We were told it didn't indicate anything and a diagnostic had to be run. After which we were told that the only thing required was the tightening of the connections to the 12v battery. I told Joey that I had checked them, but he insisted they were loose. So I trusted him, as I always have. We did not make it home that day before the symptoms reoccurred. I called and left a message for Joey explaining what was happening. When he didn't call back the next morning (because he was off) we brought our Prius back in. Jonothan Lobos saw us looking for Joey, and came to our aid. When we explained the situation, he agreed that the lack of turbulence was an issue, and ran another diagnostic, which now indicated the faulty inverter cooling pump, and then it was fixed. Jonathan was very helpful, informative, and courteous. But then again, so was Joey, and Teddy, and before that Hugo and 1 or 2 others. We bought our Prius from you, and we bring our Prius to you because you are Toyota, and we trust you know what you're doing. But that trust has been challenged in the past and now is on shaky ground. This is not the '66 Mustang I could work on as a teenager, the technology and equipment to do this work is beyond my reach but it should not be beyond yours, and I should not figure out what's wrong before you do, and I should not be told I'm wrong when I'm right, and I should not pay $172 (plus the $600 to fix the actual problem) to tighten a couple of nuts that were most likely not loose or the real problem in the first place, and most of all I should not be driving a car across the desert on the hottest days of the year with your trusted approval when that could have gone horribly awry. It took over six hours for them to complete a job they said would be completed in four. Then we get our trucks back from them with grease smears all over the hood and door. I don’t appreciate getting my t said would be completed in four. Then we get our trucks back from them with grease smears all over the hood and door. I don’t appreciate getting my truck back with grease on it in 100+ degree weather. For me to not find out until the next day when I check my fluids. So now after washing the trucks we have paint splotches where the grease was. More
