BMW of Alexandria - Service Center

Basicly I was in Va for training from work and on my last day of training my starter went on my BMW Convertible. I was quite distressed being 320 miles from home with no tow service or AAA. I found BMW of Arlington online and called and got the service rider, who went out of his way to call the Tow Company as I was quite upset still. It was about 3:45pm on a Friday .He got 3 techs to stay and he stayed as well...he brought us up to get some dinner while we waited..and they got the job done in about 2.5 hours. We were on our way back home to NH and it was such a pleasant experience in such a bad situation. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH to everyone at BMW of Arlington. More

I live about an hour away from BMW of Arlington but that hasn't stopped me from trying. Repeatedly.The service managers are enthusiastic and passionate about cars. This dealer is open on Saturdays like I'm accustomed to and the professionalism, knowledge and expertise of the aforementioned service advisor is top tier! Yes, they are affortable too. I would steer clear of this dealership if at all possible. We moved to DC and this seemed to be the closest dealership for service. My wife has a 2003 325xi and it seemed that the "washer fluid" l possible. We moved to DC and this seemed to be the closest dealership for service. My wife has a 2003 325xi and it seemed that the "washer fluid" light was always on- no big deal, but just annoying. We took the car in for its regularly scheduled service and alerted them to the problem. I got a call later in the day saying that the waher sensor was broken in the engine compartment and that it would need to be replaced to the tune of $80 dollars. When I picked up the car the next day the same light was still on- when I pointed this out to the service people they said it was the antifreeze light that was on not the washer fluid (I didn't know, It's my wife's car, I never drive it!) So the next obvious question is why did they replace and charge me for something that wasn't broken? The service guy quickly realized what was going on and took the charge from my bill and then personally filled up the antifreeze. Unbelievable! They guys are bunch of unethical cheats! Take your car anywhere but here! More

As great as my sales experience was at this dealership, my first service experience wasn't so great. The customer service person missed several details, we had to bring the car back for them to finish the my first service experience wasn't so great. So, I gave the customer service rep a not so great review when BMW called. The next time I brought the car in to be serviced, I got the same customer service rep (uh-oh). He remembered me this time, and he pulled a complete 180 on service levels. He was very detailed in his call on what was done to the car, when it would be ready, etc. Overall, the second time around it was a pleasant experience. All of this work was covered by my warranty, so I can't review prices. More

This dealership is a joke, and BMW needs to revoke their agreement to allow the AV group to sell their cars. This dealership clearly gives BMW an Awful name. From the Sales to the Service. I took my 2003 325XI in for a level II inspection (60k insp) and ended up with a significant amount of extra work. I'm not disputing the extra work that needed to be done (though I did take their word fo insp) and ended up with a significant amount of extra work. I'm not disputing the extra work that needed to be done (though I did take their word for it and didn't get a second opinion --shame on me). My main complaint is that after spending about $3700 to get my car serviced and repaired you think they'd at least wash it!! This is the only BMW dealer I've taken my car to that hasn't washed it after servicing it! Sometimes it's the little things that really make a difference. If they had detailed my car like every other BMW dealer, the $3700 charge would be a little easier to swallow. I will not be going back to them for my next service 15k miles from now. More

This was absolutely the worst visit I've ever had. Despite not being responsive when I dropped off my car for an emergency repair, I had high hopes for this dealership. I've been a BMW owner since my first car (11 yrs so far) and have always appreciated the service aspect of BMW dealers. NoVa is truly the exception, BMW of Arlington the ring leader of bad service. After having needed repairs performed, I was charged nearly double the price for parts and overcharged on labor. I researched other independent shops and found much better deals. Since the repairs were emergency, I had no choice. Well now I have a choice I will not return. Horrible attitude, predatory service pricing, and overall sense of indifference really makes this place particularly disappointing. More
