The worst experience from any BMW service department. I’ve owned several BMWs and have been to several of the BMW service departments in the DMV, including this one before. This time around was absol I’ve owned several BMWs and have been to several of the BMW service departments in the DMV, including this one before. This time around was absolutely horrible. Six weeks plus of dealing with the service department and trying to get and stay updated on the status of the repairs and service on my BMW. I will make sure I never take my car back there for service ever again. And definitely won’t buy a new car from them knowing how bad their service department is lately. More
The service department is horrible. They have good business hours but they make more appointments that they can handle conveniently for customers. If a customer makes an appointment for an oil change and specifically notes “waiting while service is performed” the service department should be able to turn around basic service APPOINTMENTS in under 2 hours - not 4 or 5 (or more) hours! Other (several) poor service experiences at Alexandria BMW are the reasons we chose to purchase our next BMW at a different local dealership. Very poor customer care/service. Also, I shouldn’t have to argue to receive the services included in packages I purchased. Customer care is certainly not their priority. More
Terrible experience at BMW of Alexandria. I brought my car in for routine service, and when I picked it up, I found a nail in one of the tires. The dealership immediately denied any responsib I brought my car in for routine service, and when I picked it up, I found a nail in one of the tires. The dealership immediately denied any responsibility, claiming the nail was already there — even though they performed a full inspection when I dropped it off and sent me a report that made zero mention of any nail or tire damage. When I questioned this, the manager gave me a completely contradictory excuse, saying they “didn’t inspect that tire.” So which is it? Either they didn’t inspect the tire (which would be negligence) or they did and are lying about the damage. Either way, it’s clear they were more interested in deflecting blame than actually helping a customer. In the end, they forced me to pay for a brand new tire out of pocket for damage that clearly happened while the car was in their care. This dealership is either careless, dishonest, or both. I won’t be coming back — and if you care about being treated fairly, you shouldn’t either. More
Today was one of the worst experiences at a service center I have ever had in my life. I went in for an oil change at 1:00 p.m. and I did not leave until 4:45 p.m. After several attempts to ask why it center I have ever had in my life. I went in for an oil change at 1:00 p.m. and I did not leave until 4:45 p.m. After several attempts to ask why it was such a delay I was simply told that there was something going on with the oil that they had and later was told that they were training a new individual in service. At no time did I have an opportunity to speak with the service manager because he / she apparently wasn't there. I do not recommend this location for any type of service, if a simple oil change cannot be completed in the proper time limits. This was my first time at this location I have had several experiences with different dealership service centers such as Audi, Cadillac, Lexus and they have all been quite Superior than the experience that I had today. I will say the only one person who saved my perspective of this location was A.J Wiggins. My husband and I are visiting my parents for the holidays and we wanted to make sure that we take care of my mom’s of this location was A.J Wiggins. Moreover, we have years of relations with owning multiple bmws and getting serviced at our local bmw dealership. The closet location to my parents were in Alexandria and Fairfax. We chose this location because we were able to secure a loaner in a short notice. Honestly, despite many unethical events and going back and forth while working with a different advisor and supervisor, they honored the total price for service and parts which should have been done in the first place. When my mom and I went to drop off the loaner, the only person who showed professionalism, consideration and integrity was AJ Wiggins. He asked if we were helped, seeing that we were waiting for a while and showed me and my mom consideration and also made sure that he updated us as things were slowly progressing. Despite not being the assigned advisor to us, he showed considerable willingness to help. If I have any friends or family who needs recommendation for this location, the only person I would refer is A.J Wiggins who is the service advisor. He is the only person that we felt who went outside and beyond. Thank you for doing that. It is these type of professional attitude and actions that will make a customer come back while building trust. This is done not out of personal gain but it is the right thing to do. I could feel that. And that is why, I wanted to write this long review for him. He earns it. More

I also want to thank my longtime sales advisor, Hossein Alavi, who makes the purchasing process a pleasure for the many vehicles my wife and I have purchased from BMW of Alexandria. Hossein is the consummate professional. He’s always there to help us in any way he can, even for years after we have made the purchase. Hossein and all of the folks at the dealership are terrific and the main reason we keep coming back over many years. More
