We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. From the time abcdkv expressed problems with his 2006 M5 purchase, we have been in contact with him, the warranty company that carries the Limited Drive Train coverage company that we provide with all of our used vehicles sales, as well as the dealership that had made the diagnosis. Unfortunately in this case, the problem being experienced is electronic in nature, not mechanical, as we understand the problem being explained to us. Our Service Manager and Shop Foreman have been in touch with the diagnosing dealer. We have tried to make arrangements to have the car brought to BMW of Asheville so we can experience the issue ourselves. We are familiar with this M5 in that this is the second time we have sold the car to a customer, and, we too are surprised in that the previous customer never experienced any difficulty with the car. We anticipate being able to inspect and experience the problem with the vehicle before the end of March, based on the communication our service manager has had with the abcdkv. When we are able to do so we will be able to determine what the exact repair needed will be, if there is any coverage provided for the repair, and how to bring resolution and repair. As we do with all used vehicle sales to customers, extended coverage packages are offered that are more comprehensive in nature, with varied pricing for the various packages. Customers are free to commit to additional coverage packages or decline additional coverage, and in this case, any additional coverage for the vehicles was declined by the customer. We are making efforts to assist in the resolution of the issue with the car, as we always work to do with our customers.

Well, you have sold a M5 before mine, so what? That car didn't have any problem yet so mine shouldn't have any problem? So all of the cars you sold shouldn't have any problem? So why you even need a service department?? The problem I had was mechanic problem but not nature problem! It's an engine problem when I just bought the car for over a week! So it's nature that a BMW should have a problem like this when they reach 50k miles? And for the warranty, that's the only warranty I got when I purchased the car. I was not told that there were other kind of warranties. And according to the warranty, my problem should be covered! And the reason I haven't brought the car to Asheville because I lived 180 miles away from them. I don't really have time so far just drive three hours to them just for a "check". I am still dealing with BMW of Asheville but some of their employees are not that responsible and helpful.
