When I dropped off the vehicle I was greeted by 3 teenagers, I think, that just ignored me as if I was invisible. I finally had to ask them to speak to me and please tell me what the procedure is? The next day a received a phone call from a service writer telling me that my warranty covered repair was because the factory software in the vehicle caused the failure and if I didn’t get a software update the part would fail again. I asked if the update was covered under warranty since it’s causing the vehicle to fail, one would think it would be covered, but I was told it was not. I then asked what the charge would be to update my factory installed software so that my X3 would stop breaking down and I was given a price of $550,,,,yes, not a misprint,,,,$550 to update a subpar software system? How long does it take to plug the connector into the OBD outlet and let it download? Absolute theft, they know you can’t get it done at an independent repair shop, so they just absolutely financially abuse customers. I will NEVER GO TO BMW GALLERY IN NORWOOD AGAIN, More
I got my interior detailed and found spots on the drivers seat after. Also, the seat covers were not put back on and the trunk was left a little dirty. Do you guys use paper floor covers? Nothing was put on the drivers side floor, so it was dirty from the driver who retrieved my car after service. I usually go to the Shrewsbury location for interior detail and it’s always done perfectly. Unfortunately they aren’t doing detailing at this time. Jamie was very nice and refunded my money immediately. I will not be coming back to this bmw location for future service. Alyson More
