My X1 has 30k miles and began stalling out and needed brakes in January. I paid over $800 for back brakes and received the software upgrade. My car received a full inspection of front brakes as well. No brakes in January. I paid over $800 for back brakes and received the software upgrade. My car received a full inspection of front brakes as well. No issues. By end of March, no brake sensor went off and suddenly my pads are completely worn and grinding against my rotors. Now my car needs both pads and rotors. We brought the car in and spoke with Ali in service. He told us it was impossible for my car to need brakes because they were just fully checked. When he drove it he realized we were correct. Ali told us that this time front brakes would cost $1k. When asked, he could not offer any explanation as to why the sensor did not go off or why 2 months after this same team inspected my brakes, they were completely bare and grinding. I just wanted to understand what I was paying for and how it happened. I called the service manager and never received a call back. We took it back and my car is still not safe to drive. Very Disappointed. More
