I needed a oil change for my BMW and looked up the prices for Ramsey BMW. On the website it stated that a single value oil change was $119 plus tax, which a local mechanic would charge. I said great and sche for Ramsey BMW. On the website it stated that a single value oil change was $119 plus tax, which a local mechanic would charge. I said great and scheduled my oil change through the app and took my car in. Wayne Diaz took care of me and I asked if the oil change is $119, I then get well I have to see if your car qualifies for the Value deal? What value DeaI I said? Its just a oil change, but if it doesn't how much will it be? He states $264, I was like what? Your website says $119 which is why I came here. He says I can speak to my manager and get back to you just have a seat. So I did ,and 1/2 hour later I didn't hear anything so go back to Wayne Diaz . I asked did you find out what is the price of the oil change , which he replies no sorry your car doesn't qualify and its $264. I said and when were you going to tell me this? I stated my local mechanic charges $119 like what I originally saw on your website , why should I elect to pay $145 more. And this was the answer I did not like, " Well its a BMW , so maybe you should take it there next time" So basically because I chose to buy a BMW because they are great cars I get penalized and have to pay more even though its cheaper elsewhere? I said Well if you were honest up front I would of taken it elsewhere. The reason why I am complaining about this is the response I got from Wayne Diaz the BMW Tech, seriously you tell a customer who has been coming here for years and never had a problem to basically go somewhere else if you don't like it, especially when I was under the impression it was $119 . And my question is did he even talk to a manager because my guess is no ,since he never reach out to me after to let me know what the manager said, I had to go down there and ask him. I was under the impression that a manager was going to speak to me about this. I understand its more to go to dealerships but if I misunderstood the "Value Deal" Then I need someone to explain it to me and I recall my car back. I am sorry to write this but I have never been treated this way where the attitude is "well its BMW what do you expect?" And I have had oil changes done much cheaper in the past you just have to wait for specials like I thought this was . I just felt that having my car serviced there in past there would be more of a courtesy to at least have a manager speak with me and see if he or she can resolve it, not to get blown off and then come back with , then go somewhere else? This is my 7th BMW so I Know BMW and how it works , this is not it! Again hate to complain about this dealership but I think the dealership and the consumers need to know about this, because if this is the attitude then what is my incentive to have my car service there when I have to deal with this attitude and and pay way over normal price? DISHONEST! ! Their advertised prices are a scam. I was told there would be a $2500 document fee on a $25k vehicle! When I questioned the (absurdly high) fee, the ! Their advertised prices are a scam. I was told there would be a $2500 document fee on a $25k vehicle! When I questioned the (absurdly high) fee, the salesman became arrogant and responded "well, we're BMW". And??? What's your point? Other dealers charge a fraction of those fees. Judging from many of the other 1-star comments i'm seeing here, i'm convinced the 5-star ratings are bogus. Don't wasted your time with this dealer. Bought a used car, drove the car off the lot and within 5 miles the check engine light came on. Took it in for repair have to beg for a loaner as I don't have any other form of transportation and I'm a sing miles the check engine light came on. Took it in for repair have to beg for a loaner as I don't have any other form of transportation and I'm a single parent. After 2 weeks they said the car was good. A month later the car was back in for repair with no loaner. After another 2 weeks they said the car was repaired. On my way to work the morning after I picked the car up the check engine light came on again and the car won't start, no loaner and no communication on what the problem is. They don't care about their customers. I can't recommend this dealer after this experience. I still without my car, no loaner and hundreds spent on rentals. More
I know most people don't go to this dealership to buy a used Toyota, but I hoped I would be treated as well as their other customers. I was actually quite happy with my experience with Herb except for one used Toyota, but I hoped I would be treated as well as their other customers. I was actually quite happy with my experience with Herb except for one unacceptable issue: my trade in! For some reason, the trade in amount for my old car was to be sent to me by check and wasn't taken off the loan amount. It is now 6 months since I bought the car, and despite numerous texts and calls both to Herb and the manager, I haven't received my check! It's not for much, but it's the principle. Herb, send me my check! More
My experience at BMW of Ramsey was absolutely horrendous. The client advisor Damion Lawrence and his manager Tim were both disrespectful and dishonest. The price of the vehicle shown on their website clearly The client advisor Damion Lawrence and his manager Tim were both disrespectful and dishonest. The price of the vehicle shown on their website clearly states that it includes all charges and fees except tax, title, registration, and document fee of $899. When the price was presented to me after the test drive, it included thousands of dollars in extra fees and add-ons that came out of nowhere. When questioned about the charges, rather than providing a rational response, I was given hostility and excuses. I was told that I just didn't understand how the car industry works and that this is just how it's done. Their positive google reviews are in no way representative of my time at BMW of Ramsey. Stay away! More
I am having a difficult time understanding how this dealer has received so many 5 star ratings. The service department is consistently inundated with people, no one answers the phone or responds to the dealer has received so many 5 star ratings. The service department is consistently inundated with people, no one answers the phone or responds to the text system set up. There is no clear procedure after they take your car. You walk into a large space with people mundanely typing and shuffling papers. There is no sense of welcome or eagerness to help. Approaching any agent appears as if you're interrupting them. This has been a consistent problem. But, I can't mention it in reviews after service because it will adversely impact the agent- when in reality, this is a dealership and frankly, a culture problem within service. My repair was not conducted on site because it was insurance related, so my car needed to be brought elsewhere. This was never disclosed to me. Communication about the process was subpar. Phone calls went unanswered and so did the "text system" with the body shop. The leasing process feels pressure filled- Dwayne in particular seemed more concerned about the sale then the customer. I've had 2 leases through them, My first advisor, Lori, left the dealership, but I decided to stay for another lease. I guess it was out of pure hope things would be just as professional and easy.... the joke's on me. My lease is now up and I'll be going to another dealership for my next BMW lease. Beware folks, you're leasing or buying a high end product. You deserve high end service, respect, and to be heard and felt welcome and comfortable with the investment you're about to make. In my summation, this dealership which once was a pinnacle, has seem to have lost it's way. More
