I’ve had a very disappointing experience with BMW of Rochester regarding a persistent sunroof leak that has never been properly resolved. Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, I had a sunroof chip rep Rochester regarding a persistent sunroof leak that has never been properly resolved. Shortly after purchasing my vehicle, I had a sunroof chip repaired and was referred to Safelite. From that point on, I dealt with repeated water leaks and went back and forth between Safelite and BMW for over a year. Despite multiple visits, the issue was never correctly diagnosed or permanently fixed, even after being told multiple times that it was resolved. Eventually, I was told the sunroof seals were the issue and had them replaced more than once, but the leak still returned. During this time, I also feel I was not properly guided toward reputable repair solutions when BMW could not handle the issue themselves, leading to unnecessary and repeated windshield-related repairs. On top of that, communication and follow-through from BMW were very poor. I was also left without a response after escalating my concerns to corporate, and when I went to pick up my vehicle, it was not ready as expected. After getting it back, I discovered my personal belongings had been gone through and important tax documents were missing, which added even more frustration and concern. Overall, I feel there has been a serious lack of accountability, communication, and respect for my time and property throughout this entire experience. After more than a year of dealing with the same unresolved issue, I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled and even more disappointed with this being my experience as a first time BMW customer as a small business owner that takes transparency very seriously.
