First annual scheduled maintenance I called and scheduled a service Appt. For my first annual scheduled maintenance. I asked if I could get a loaner and they said “no”, it would only take a couple of hours ( I am use to a loaner from My Mercedes dealership down the street). I showed up for my Appt. And was immediately told that there was a “recall “ on my vehicle and they would have to download all updated software on the vehicle computer which could take up to 4-5 hours (assuming that it works). They then offered a loan ( downgraded to a Nissan Sentra- big difference from BMW). They could have called me in advance and told me about the recall, but I guess they don’t do that? When I picked up my vehicle, i noticed that all my vehicle setting had been erased ....seat memory, cellphone settings, radio stations, etc.... I had to track down a person to assist in reconnect at least the phone, which thy did. It would have been more proactive to have the service rep. advise me in advance . Not the best communication, on many different fronts, from this BMW dealership. More

When I arrived for my appointment, the service adviser told me it was scheduled for 1 1/2 - 2 hours but she would try to get me out sooner. I waited 2 hours. I would have appreciated being told it would take up to 2 hours when I scheduled the appointment. I would have also appreciated the service adviser providing periodic updates while I was waiting. Part of providing stellar service is managing customers' expectations. More
