I brought my car in for service and to have a new battery installed. The very next day, the back seat releases in my cargo bay were not working and felt lose. I brought the car back to the dealership and Nel installed. The very next day, the back seat releases in my cargo bay were not working and felt lose. I brought the car back to the dealership and Nelson, before ever even meeting me, got defensive and said 'he was not paying for this issue' because 'there is no way my guys did that while replacing a battery'. He was literally yelling at me and accusing me of lying about what happened, standing in the service lanes in front of other customers. I told him that it could not be a coincidence that I bring the car in for service and then the next day the seat released don't work. He personally took the car back and checked the seat releases and found that BOTH cables left and right were not broken but just disconnected. Before leaving, I confronted him on why he jumped down my throat and he did apologize. He said that Lucy may have misinformed him as she led him to believe that I was accusing them of damaging my car. I never made that accusation, I merely pointed out that the seats worked the day before service and the cable were disconnected the day after my service. I have never been spoken to or treated that way at a BMW dealership before. I think I would drive back to BMW in Tampa before returning to the Sarasota dealership. More
