They got to the root of the problem and Chris kept me abreast of things and got it fixed. Marcus Washington performed the work and did an outstanding job! On my way home, I noticed the drive was smooth and easy. Chris McMillan was very nice. He asked if we needed anything while we waited. They put my mind to ease and took care of things with the quickness! Again, you guys rock:) Tina B. More

It was a helpless feeling because the specific issue I was having with my 335i was not something that could be addressed by an independent mechanic. As a total shot in the dark, I called Townsend BMW in Tuscaloosa just to get a second opinion and was blown away at the level of service I received from Laura Yearby over the phone. She was so reassuring and seemed so confident that they could help. Needless to say, I was all too happy to get my car to them. When I arrived, Trent Witsaman, the service manager, was practically waiting at the door to introduce himself. Turns-out, he had already spoken with Laura and even called BMW North America on my behalf and negotiated an arrangement that literally saved me thousands of dollars. You could have pushed me over with a feather. Every preconceived notion I had previously regarding dealers was defeated. Trent, Laura, Bill, Chris, and BJ have become like family to me. In my opinion, the difference is the fact that Townsend is family owned and that translates into being treated like family. I can’t say enough about the team at Townsend. AWESOME!!! More

I don't normally write reviews BUT on this occasion it is very appropriate. Thought by sharing my experience as a BMW customer, it could help you make a more informed decision on where you might shop for a BMW and have that feeling like your satisfaction as a consumer IS a top priority. Just bare with me for a few paragraphs or so, then you can be one step closer to experiencing the perfect BMW buying experience like I did! First, we need to get the legal stuff out of the way. Write this down, Christopher McMillan(Client Advisor), Townsend BMW, (205)345-9811. That information right there folks, is the equivalent to the Holy Grail in a BMW shopping experience! Now I'm going to tell you why. I had visited another BMW dealership several months ago before my purchase at Townsend BMW on February 7, 2015. I'm not going to name the other BMW dealership to keep this review classy. Also, as long as you deal with Christopher and Townsend BMW, you won't find out the hard way like I did. To make it short and sweet(only for this explanation, no guarantees on the rest), my long, drawn out, excruciatingly bad dealings with SEVERAL employees in sales and service at the other dealership, made me promise myself it would NEVER happen again. I left the other dealership in dismay, wondering if my standards were too high or theirs were too low. If it had been an interaction with just ONE employee, I might have felt different. When you meet several low caliber employees(I hate to degrade the meaning of low caliber referring to such) in one day, kind of makes you wonder how they'll treat you after they have your money. So, when the time came to make a purchase, I did more homework. From doing that, I aced the final exam and walked away with bonus points! My first dealing with Townsend BMW was when I made an internet inquiry about a BMW X1 listed on their website. I received a call promptly from Christopher. He asked me what questions I might have and didn't try to pressure me. It was odd in a good way. No interrogation or water boarding! His biggest concern seemed to be finding me the X1 like I wanted. Never trying to talk me into a certain vehicle because he had it on the lot. One of the reasons I chose to contact the dealership by internet/phone first was, I wanted to just "look" to see what might be available. Ever gone to a car dealership and you just want to look? All of a sudden you can relate to how a gazelle feels when a lioness is closing in on them. Or you've just stepped on a ground hornets nest and you don't know whether to run or keep your foot over the opening. Put it this way, I wasn't once bitten or stung at Townsend BMW. All my dealings with Christopher and Townsend BMW were over the phone until it was time to make the purchase. It was that easy! It felt like his sole concern was finding me the X1 I wanted and making me happy with the whole buying process. None of that luring me to the dealership for a high pressure sales tactic like you might learn from Slick Willie's Controlling the Car Buyer How-to Guide. Nor did he tell me I needed to come into the dealership before he could help me. Been through that in the past at other dealerships, you get there and they start trying to sell you something else or whatever is on their lot. Seriously folks, it wasn't just Christopher but everyone I encountered at Townsend BMW was friendly, accommodating, professional and there to make my purchase go smoothly! I drove away from there in a new X1, feeling like I got the deal I had hoped for plus more and my satisfaction was their top concern! Hopefully my review has been helpful and saves you from finding out the hard way not all BMW Dealerships are the same! Good luck with your shopping experience! I know mine could not have been better at Townsend BMW! THANK YOU to Christopher and Townsend BMW! More

If you are looking for a BMW or even a high quality used car, PLEASE give The Nicest Guy In The Car Business, Christopher McMillan Sr. at call. I DID! and he did exactly as I asked in my search for a car. That means, he listened and respected my parameters and constraints in what I wanted; not just try and talk me into whatever he wanted me to have. The result was a very excellent BMW at an astonishing price. (I must say this car has very few miles). When the deal was done, he (and his wife) drove the car down to ME! Oh did I say he gave me an astonishing price....Yes, go see this man! You will learn why he is The Nicest Guy In The Car Business. Thanks Chris. D. Tenner (01/09/2015) More

When we arrived Chris was available and introduced himself and showed us around the show room. His hospitality was great and most of all he was very friendly and a care free personality. The 2015 SUV x3 on the floor was right in front of his desk. He showed us the car and did a terrific demo. He really sold me, Audrey Gardner on the car. I was very impressed. Finally, financial issues were in place and he worked with us to get the best deal ever. I would recommend him as a salesman as well as, Townsend BMW as your next dealership. More

Disrespected, not valued, and no longer a customer My husband purchased a pre owned vehicle from Townsend BMW on 1/03/15 and wrote a check to pay for the vehicle, in full, that day. Aresenio, the sales My husband purchased a pre owned vehicle from Townsend BMW on 1/03/15 and wrote a check to pay for the vehicle, in full, that day. Aresenio, the salesman, was great, but Michael, the Sales Manager, wouldn't even come out of his office to meet my husband and speak with him about the price of the vehicle after the 2 or 3 trips that Arsenio made into his office. My husband drove 150 miles to this dealership because we found the car online and really liked it. After my husband purchased the vehicle and returned home, I came out to the driveway to see it and noticed that the bottom panel on the back passenger side door was missing! My husband didn't hit anything on the way home and had no idea the panel had fallen off until I pointed it out because it was the first thing I saw. Since he returned home late Saturday night and the dealership would be closed on Sunday, my husband called Townsend BMW on Monday 1/5/15 and spoke with Kevin, the General Manager. He told Kevin what happened with the car and that he felt that they should be responsible for replacing the part since the car had only been in his possession a couple hours before falling apart. After multiple times of Kevin telling my husband that his story was "hard to believe" he decided that they shouldn't be held responsible for replacing a part that would've cost them around $200. Did I mention that my husband caught a $400 mistake in the paperwork that the dealership would've been responsible for paying?! So he saved them $400, but they can't replace a $200 part that should've never fallen off in the first place? I manage a bank and meet a lot of clients each day that are in the market for a new car, so guess which dealership I will NOT be recommending! In fact, I will be sure to mention our experience with Townsend BMW to anyone I have a conversation with about buying a new vehicle. More
Top Notch Dealership I have purchased more than one automobile from this dealership. I bought a BMW from them in 2009 and had a great experience from the sales experience I have purchased more than one automobile from this dealership. I bought a BMW from them in 2009 and had a great experience from the sales experience to the superior service I have always received from their service department, so when I started shopping around I started at Townsend BMW online to see what they had. I found a car I was interested in online that morning and by that afternoon it was mine. My sales person Nathan Jackson made this the best car buying experience I have ever had. I called the dealership when I got to work that morning, I went over and did a test drive with Nathan at lunch and by the time I got off of work that day Nathan had taken care of everything and all I had to do was sign and drive my new car home. Nathan was most knowledgeable about the features of the car I purchased and was of great help in showing me how everything worked and getting things set up. I feel I have always gotten a great deal and they always give me a very fair amount for my trades. If you are looking for a quality used auto or a brand new BMW, there is no reason to go any place else. More

I initially made an online inquiry, and the rest was easy. Cory Pendergraft was the key person to me purchasing my new vehicle. It was the easiest, most efficient vehicle buying experience ever. From the test drive, to driving off the lot with my new 2015 BMW X3, it was a totally pleasant buying experience. 5 stars to Townsend BMW and their staff. I was introduced to Laura in the Service Dep't, and Elizabeth in the Parts Dep't, and they assured me any service, maintenance or parts issues would be handled promptly and efficiently. AWESOME vehicle buying experience...THANKS!! More
