This customer purchased a 2001 Honda Civic with 98,600 miles for $6,399. This value priced car was serviced to pass RI state inspection before it was sold. The car received new tires, front brakes and basic maintenance. The mirror was broken and fixed prior to delivery. After delivery, the car developed transmission problems. Here at Majestic Honda our goal is to provide an enjoyable purchase experience. Though we do everything that we can to achieve this goal, it is regrettable that from time to time we fall short. Honda dealers have been forced to contend with inventory issues resulting from the disaster in Japan. Though things have improved with time, some Honda products are hard to come by. The customer wanted a Honda with a manual transmission. We were unable to obtain this car. We offered the customer the same car with an automatic transmission for the same price. We refunded the customers deposit and directed the customer to the dealer who had the car she wanted. The sales person involved should have been more realistic and made a better effort to keep the customer informed of the situation. For this we are sorry. We very much appreciate the feedback and will use it to improve going forward. Mike Girard Sales Manager Majestic Honda
