THIS WILL SUBSTANTIATE WHY WE GAVE BALISE HYUNDAI IN HYANNIS MASS. THE HIGHEST RATING IN ALL CATEGORIES.... I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. My wife Judy and I have been vacationing on Cape Cod for 40 of the last 43 years. Prior to going to the Cape this year, we sold our 2000 Pontiac Montana and bought a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe locally here in Kitchener. Recognizing that we would not have as much room in the Santa Fe compared to the Montana to transport all our stuff to the Cape, we purchased a car top bag on-line. While it had lots of space to store our belongings, the strap configuration to hold it on the roof of the Santa Fe was not the best due to the design (window placement etc) of the Santa Fe. We got to Cape Cod, but had to stop periodically and tighten the straps. Being not 100% happy with our car top bag, we decided to look around Hyannis for a hard top cargo carrier. We went to several places, but couldn't find what we wanted and at a price we wanted to pay. Finally my wife Judy said...why don't we go to the local Hyundai dealership which was Balise Hyundai on Yarmouth Road in Hyannis. So that is exactly what we did. We went into the Parts Dep't at Balise and talked to 3 very nice people, one of which was Mike. Mike listened very carefully to our request, and went on their Hyundai network to see if he could find what we wanted. He came back to us with some great news that he had found exactly what we wanted and at a price we were willing to pay. I had several questions regarding the compatibility of the car top cargo carrier with my Santa Fe two side rails and cross members(2). Mike went out in the yard and looked at my rail configuration twice and each time he went back inside and made a phone call to another Hyundai location to get my questions answered. He even produced a printout of the answers to my questions. That was on Thursday, July 12th, and Mike arranged to have it shipped to his dealership from New Jersey two days later on July 14th. I can't say enough about how Mike took our situation on as a personal challenge to help us. He went the extra mile ,and through his efforts Balise Hyundai got the sale. Mike never rushed us and was never pushy. He was patient to help us work through our dilemma. In short, Balise are very fortunate to have such a tenacious, kind and pleasant customer-focused individual on their staff. Then we met Tony the Service Manager who did the install on the Saturday afternoon. Like Mike, Tony is very pleasant and focused on his job. With the help of one of his staff, Tony adjusted the cross rails on the Santa Fe to accommodate the cargo carrier, and completed the install. He installed it in record time and did it in exactly the time I was previously quoted when I purchased the cargo carrier. Both Mike and Tony are excellent employees, and Judy and I wish them well. Finally, we went and saw JJ the General Manager, and expressed how happy we were with the service we got from Mike and Tony. JJ was very nice and was very appreciative that we had taken the time to stop by his office and tell him. In conclusion, if people that are reading this review live in the Hyannis or surrounding area and are looking for a great vehicle backed by customer focused staff, then go check out the inventory and the folks at Balise Hyundai on Yarmouth Rd in Hyannis...if you are like Judy and I you won't be disappointed. Incidently, nothing else in the several thousand listings checked came even came close. I was equally fortunate in the dealership that listed the car. They were extremely helpful and staight forward from the outset. As a result I was comfortable making a substantial deposit without having even seen the car (I assumed perhaps incorrectly that I would forfiet that deposit if I elected not to purchase the car.) While apparently, there is alot more time consuming paperwork than I remenbered from past purchases the sales and financial person took the time to explain all aspects of the tranaction and in addition took the time to answer my questions. Where they where not familar or experienced in the area of my inquiry they brought in someone who was - for instance the mechanic who had set up the car. Although the car was 7 years old it seemed brand new without a blemish. I told a friend I felt like I'd won the lottery. As to writing a review in the dealer there would be no problem except that at that point in time my experience would be incomplete. More

This is an update from my 10/31/2011 8:04:40 PM review. My original experience with this dealership (and corresponding review) was HORRENDOUS. The main reason being the individuals I dealt with ( Mike - S My original experience with this dealership (and corresponding review) was HORRENDOUS. The main reason being the individuals I dealt with ( Mike - Sale Mgr and David Cronin -Salesperson ). After the horrendous experience, Louie and John took on the relationship directly. It was a 180 degree difference in experience. They actually cared about doing the right thing for the customer versus doing anything to make a sale like Mike & David. Based on a new review by someone else, it appears that David is still doing it. Mike to the best of my knowledge, is no longer with the dealership. Had my only experience been the one with Louie & John, this would have been a very good situation from the beginning. They went to all lengths to make things right...and I mean ALL lengths. The vehicle we wanted was simply not available in the region so they found it in VA/NC and had it transferred up here to MA/RI at their cost to show me that they were not the dealership that Mike & David were poorly representing. Based on this... I would recommend doing business with them again BUT.... if you run into ANY issues.... contact Louie or John immediately. Don't deal with poor salespeople anywhere....including here. James the finance guy was also very personable and good to work with. More
Lack of customer service and lack of communication from sales to customer. I was not told about the 398.00 dealership fee until the credit approval came back, 3 days after I first worked with the dealersh sales to customer. I received a phone call telling me the car was ready to go but not informed the car had a rejected inspection sticker until I walked in to pick up the truck. I was told may times by the sales manager he would check on the truck and call me right back, he did not. I was told I would received a full tank of gas and we only received 3/4 of a tank. When I asked what the tax, title and licence fees dollar amount would be my sales man said he would call me back with that info, he did not I had to find them on-line. When I mentioned this to the sales manager he said, you should have know what they are, you have bought a lot of cars on your life. I was not given a price break down sheet the first day I looked at the vehicle and I also did not meet with the business manager. The sales manager said, he thought I was in a hurry, thats why he did not have me meet with the business manager. The reality is, he never asked me if I would like to meet with the sales manager. I was told, "you know I am loosing money on this vehicle" by the sales manager. More
My partner & I went to Balise Hyundai having done our research on line as to what car was the best suited for us. Our 91 Toyota Corolla had recently ended its long and useful life and among the cars that research on line as to what car was the best suited for us. Our 91 Toyota Corolla had recently ended its long and useful life and among the cars that had made the finals were a few hyundai Elantras, excellent consumer report on all counts. We received fast and friendly help as soon as we walked in from John C. Crawley. We drove the choice car and saw another vehicle, a Mitsibushi that was also among the finals but a little too much mileage compared to the Elantra we were looking at. We decided that our choice was the right one and proceeded to the actual sale that was also fast and efficient. A few days later John drove the car to our home about an hour away. A very pleasant experience all around. More

I love how right when you walk in, everybody knows who you are and they come over and greet you and ask how you are doing. Eric had sold me my car, and everytime I getmy car done at the sevice center he a you are and they come over and greet you and ask how you are doing. Eric had sold me my car, and everytime I getmy car done at the sevice center he always asks me how I'm doin and how my car is doing. And always asks me why I'm gettin my car done to make sure my car is ok. Louie always comes up and asks how I am and to make sure my car is doing well. I love walking in there and them knowing who I am and remembering me. Nick is new but he is a really good guy, when he worked in the auto service he always greeted me with a smile and asked me how I was doing and what I needed to done for my car. Now he sells cars and everytime I walk in there and he comes up and talks to me to make sure my car is alright. But all together its been a awesome dealership so far, I go there for all my car troubles because I no that they will take car of me and no that I will be happy at the end of the day with my car. I don't really know the other people that work there but when I walk in they always ask me how I am and what is going on with my car because they remember me from the time that I bought my car. Thank you for everything that you guys do and I will recommend you to all my friends and family anyday. More
The experience I had at Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod was exceptional. They were truly down to earth, with a "no pressure" atmosphere. I have never enjoyed the experience of buying a car, and I have to say exceptional. They were truly down to earth, with a "no pressure" atmosphere. I felt like I was visiting an old friend and did not experience the dreaded task of purchasing a car. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. People here are just so down to earth. They really gave us an experience we will not soon forget. There professionalism was exceptional and their family like atmosphere really made this enjoyable. We witnessed past customers come in for service and they too were treated with respect and dignity. The employees at Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod were just as attentive to the needs of those customers as they were to the customers purchasing vehicles. More
Hello my name is Jocelyn O'neil and i recently purchased a 2011 Hyundai accent from Balise Hyundai in Hyannis, MA. My Saleperson was extremly nice and so was the general sales Manager. Everyone else there w a 2011 Hyundai accent from Balise Hyundai in Hyannis, MA. My Saleperson was extremly nice and so was the general sales Manager. Everyone else there was very pleasant to me as well. My fiance and i were having alot of car troubles with our 2002 Nissan Altima and we needed to get a new car desperately. They were so good to us since our engine had died in the altima they even gave us a ride home and offered to pick us up the next day until my loans went through. They were so good to us about everything and i am very happy that we choose to go to balise rather then another dealer. I give them A+++++++++++ in customer service and my fiance and i are very grateful for all the help they gave us. Honestly i dont think i want to go to another dealership again. Thank you Balise More
