Success after a long grind. Was having transmission problems with my 2 year old Altima (surging and shuddering). Dropped it off with two different dealers a total of three time Was having transmission problems with my 2 year old Altima (surging and shuddering). Dropped it off with two different dealers a total of three times and “they couldn’t reproduce the problem”. I told them it only occurred randomly after driving the car for at least 15 minutes at highway speeds, but all three times, they didn't drive it long enough to find it and gave it back to me unrepaired, possibly because it would have been a warranty repair and it was difficult to prove because it was an intermittent problem. Since this had gone on for nearly 2 years I was getting very frustrated and contacted Jay Bussey (service manager). He took the time to discuss the problem with me, obviously took it seriously, and asked me to bring the car in. Dropped it off with my service rep (James Everett), who by the way is also very customer focused. Though it took nearly 2 weeks from start to finish they took the time to drive the car until it acted up, and ultimately replaced my transmission under warranty. That finally solved the problem and they did a great job on the repair - replacing the transmission is obviously complicated yet everything worked properly afterwards - a credit to the mechanics that did the work. Obviously a great team of people and highly recommended. More

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS!!! Nissan of Chesapeake is AMAZING. I've only owned a handful of vehicles in my life. They've all been substantially used and came from small-to-mid-s Nissan of Chesapeake is AMAZING. I've only owned a handful of vehicles in my life. They've all been substantially used and came from small-to-mid-sized dealerships in Hampton Roads. Each time, making a selection, the purchasing process was tedious, nail-biting, and frustrating. By the time I drove away with my purchase, I was too exhausted to enjoy the new ride. This week, I was back in the car market, and admittedly nervous, considering my previous experiences. But Nissan of Chesapeake was DIFFERENT. I first spoke with Terence Benn, just to see if I could get approved to get anything at all. Before I could even sit back in my seat... I WAS APPROVED! I couldn't believe how fast the process was. Then, Terence and Ray Pusey made me feel like a *STAR*. I told them I had ZERO experience with a vehicle younger than 2005 (LOL) and really didn't even know where to start. Not only did they help me make a decision, but listened to my wants and needs and helped me understand that I was setting my sights way too low and I deserved MUCH better than I was giving myself credit for. I thought all I would be able to purchase is a very used car, but Terence and Ray got me into a BRAND NEW CAR!!! I'm still in shock and cannot believe I'm driving around in this beautiful vehicle. Had it not been for Terence and Ray, I would have never even glanced at the new cars on the lot. They not only changed my outlook on car-buying, but they changed the way I felt about myself. I AM WORTH MORE! I'd also like to point out how fast I drove away in my new car. I expected to be at the dealership for hours, which was a problem because I work a split shift and had to be back at work at 3pm. But Terence and Ray understood I was short on time... I arrived at the dealership for the first time at 11am, and drove away at 1pm! The process could not have been any smoother and I have these two incredible gentlemen to thank for that. In summary, this is the BEST car-buying experience I have ever had. I have been telling everyone to go to Nissan of Chesapeake for their next purchase and work with Terence and Ray (my fiance is already planning to do that later this year!). Also, when it is time for me to purchase another vehicle, I am going straight to Nissan of Chesapeake. They have made me a BUYER FOR LIFE!!! More
