Paying full retail for repairs would make me think that everything would be done fairly quickly and they wouldn’t miss stuff on the diagnostic side. They took 2 weeks to finish basic stuff on my car, miss everything would be done fairly quickly and they wouldn’t miss stuff on the diagnostic side. They took 2 weeks to finish basic stuff on my car, missed a nail in my tire, so I turned right back around and had to leave the car for 3 more days. I will never go back to Baron BMW for service. High price + bad service = unacceptable. More
Do NOT trust Baron BMW. They have no integrity. They will rip you off. Labor rates are extremely high. They will charge you extremely high for what should be simple repairs. My advice, as someone who has bee rip you off. Labor rates are extremely high. They will charge you extremely high for what should be simple repairs. My advice, as someone who has been with this dealership for 1-2 YEARS now, they have absolutely no problem with souring a customer's relationship if they get to make a boatload of money off of them. In short, my experience with Baron BMW has been tumultuous. I've gone to them for years in order to repair my 2008 3 series and each time I've been subjected to the highest markups on simple service operations, incredible miscommunication and a distinct lack of integrity. The first mishap I can remember is when I took my BMW in for free recalls last winter. It was incredibly aggravating trying to find an availability but they assured me, it'll be a day long problem, no need to worry. I went in, dropped off my car. FIVE DAYS later, when I went back into pick up my car, they informed me that they never got a chance to work on it because there was a backlog and they were short-staffed or something. Then why would they even accept my car? Why did they not once let me know that my car was going to sit there for five days in their parking lot without being touched? In any case, I was so annoyed by the lack of decorum I ripped it away from their garage and vowed not to return. I really should have trusted myself. After extensive repairs to the car six months ago, they informed me that yet another thing was wrong with the engine. So I went in and tried to have my car repaired once again. I objected to the price but they assured me they could bundle in some other smaller and simple repairs (a leaking sunroof drain was disconnected) in order to make the astronomical labor cost worthwhile. (I was going to say labor rate but they never even told me how many hours they billed me for!) In any case, I relented. However, when I received the car back and the sunroof drain was still leaking and was STILL not fixed (a simple fix according to multiple sources online and the maintenance rep himself) I felt extremely misled and betrayed. I opened a line of communication with them immediately and told them of my concern. The rep backtracked and said, "I bundled it with the cost of FUTURE repairs not this repair." And obviously this was extremely frustrating to me because I had already spent a thousand dollars (a premium compared to market price, which they assured me was only high because of the labor cost) on this one repair alone. I can only assume that Baron BMW's bottom line is only benefitted to waive a small repair if I spent $2200 instead of a mere $1000. The manager was also brought in at this point and (paraphrasing) he basically said, "You should've gotten it in writing. There's nothing I can do." What an absolute lack of integrity. So here I am, out a thousand dollars, with future repairs to look forward to (which I had to decline on because of the ghastly cost of repairs) and a still leaking sunroof drain. I apologize for the ire but I would rate them 0 stars if I could. More
