I live in the chicagoland area my BMW needed work and I was visiting my parents at the time since this is the only dealership in the area I had little choice as to whom to pick. I needed a cv boot. I was q was visiting my parents at the time since this is the only dealership in the area I had little choice as to whom to pick. I needed a cv boot. I was quoted in my home town labor and parts $350 knowing every place is different I knew it would be a different price but when i found out how much i was floored and pissed. They charged me $650 and when I told them the huge price difference and asked why the huge price difference they didn't have much to say except they charge so much for time of labor and parts AND maybe the other place underestimated!!! Ha yeah right I will never be going back there again. More

When I bought my CPO 2005 545i from Baron, it had a bad headlight assembly that they agreed to replace. When the repair work was done, I was told that they replaced the bulb also. A year later, the bulb headlight assembly that they agreed to replace. When the repair work was done, I was told that they replaced the bulb also. A year later, the bulb went out, which showed that they in fact did not give me a new bulb, and Baron would not cover the cost of the new bulb. I also had the mechatronics valve body go bad on my transmission, and had to take my car in five times before Baron would acknowledge that there was something wrong with the car. At one point, Ken Martin, a service advisor, accused me of researching the internet to find things wrong with my car and said that the problem was “all in my head” even though the mechatronics is a known issue on the 545i. Ken also refused to replace my brake pads and rotors as part of the extended maintenance plan, even though there was little thickness on the pads and I had not used the extended maintenance plan for anything else at the time. I had to speak with the service manager to get it taken care of. Toward the end of my CPO term, the car developed a coolant leak inside the engine, but the service dept said that the sensor was just too sensitive and it just needed to be topped off. The day after my CPO ran out, the leak came back and I found out that the coolant pipe inside the engine was leaking and it would be a $9k fix by BMW. This is also a known issue in the 545 and 645 engines. Either the service dept. chose not to find out what was causing the leak, or they knew what it was but did not want to cover the fix due to the cost to BMW. I traded the car in shortly thereafter and the number one reason I did not get another BMW was that I would have to deal with Baron’s service department. Except for Charles Clay, who was a great advocate for me as a customer, Baron treats their customers like dirt. They know they are the only BMW dealer in town and they act like it. More
The sales manager obviously graduated from the old stereo typical used car sales training manual. He has no clue what it means to sell "high-line" cars in Kansas City. These methods may work on the east co typical used car sales training manual. He has no clue what it means to sell "high-line" cars in Kansas City. These methods may work on the east coast, but not here. I have talked with numerous people who were more than disenchanted with the buying experience at this dealership. Six-step process designed to build rapport, find the right vehicle, get 'em inside and seal the deal today. Oh, and by the way, when I say no three times for the under coating, I meant it the first time. This sales manager needs to take some lessons from Nordstroms or Westin Hotels on how to treat a customer who is about to make a $60,000 buying decision. Baron is the only BMW dealer in town; they act like it and take advantage of it. More

The service was terrible, took forever, and then charged a misc. fee after BMW informed Barron they would cover the car defect. The misc was minimal, but no one could explain and the comment was "they just a misc. fee after BMW informed Barron they would cover the car defect. The misc was minimal, but no one could explain and the comment was "they just include fees for parts such as bolts or pins" even though BMW was covering the replacement. Will never buy a car from Barron again and since this is the authorized BMW dealer may never buy a BMW. More
I live in AZ and was looking for a great deal on a 2009 X6. Unfortunately here in AZ no one was wanting to discount the X6 even though the 2010 models were out. I did a search on the internet and came acro X6. Unfortunately here in AZ no one was wanting to discount the X6 even though the 2010 models were out. I did a search on the internet and came across the exact vehicle I was looking for. They were very accommodating for all my needs. Al was very pleasant to work with we did everything over the phone and all paperwork was sent Fedex. I had the car shipped her to AZ and it was all around a smooth transaction! Thank You Baron BMW....we love our new car. More
In the past few years, Baron's customer service has gone from pretty good to the absolute worst experience I have EVER experienced with a company. To make this story very short, they lied to me, belittled m from pretty good to the absolute worst experience I have EVER experienced with a company. To make this story very short, they lied to me, belittled me in front of other customers and told me they didn't want my business... even though I've bought 3 BMWs from them in the past 5 years to the tune of $100K. The reason... I don't get my work done in their department. I GO ACROSS THE ROAD TO KC AUTOSPORTS AND GET A MILLION TIMES BETTER SERVICE AT A FRACTION OF THE COST!!!!!! I just found out about them from another pissed off Baron customer about 6 months ago! If you can not stand Baron's prices and attitude, I would look into them. More
I bought a 135 BMW this week. During the test drive the salesman explained the new I drive system. He showed me the communications portion and how the bluetooth worked. However he couldn't get it to work salesman explained the new I drive system. He showed me the communications portion and how the bluetooth worked. However he couldn't get it to work but if I brought it back with my cell phone he would sync it for me. Turns out the car didn't even have bluetooth. However for $750 they would be glad to add it. When I met with the business office they offered me the long term maintenance package. At first I declined and so they offered it at a better rate i took the offer. Two days later because of the lousy service I had received at the dealership I ask for the maintenance package to be removed from my purchase. They then explained the contract was binding from the minute it was signed even though it doesn't start for 4 years. Never in their discussion was this even mentioned. Despite talking with the general manager nothing was resolved. BUYER BEWARE AT BARON ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY NOT YOUR SATISFACTION. More
I purchased a 2007 BMW 3 series from Baron, they don't do much on the sales side for customer service, they actually tried to charge me to test drive the vehichle. Second, when I wanted to purchase the vehi much on the sales side for customer service, they actually tried to charge me to test drive the vehichle. Second, when I wanted to purchase the vehichle I had a BMW for trade in, and said they don't really like to accept trade in's even if they are certified BMW cars. So I had to sell it to carmax down the street. As I mentioned I'm thinking of getting another vehichle this year, and since I currently have a vehichle from Baron, when I call in they act as if I don't exist, I ask if they have any information on my current car or my name and cell number "sales contact info" and they reply we don't have anything like that, this is very troublesome. I truly like to consider myself a loyal shopper, but their sales experience is among the worst I have dealt with. On the other hand, the only reason I continually like BMW is the maintenance service. My usual service rep is Chris and he does a great job, very willing to work around your schedule, provides loaners whenever, and really is on top of his game, extemely busy which makes me a bit leary, but still really good service. Final message, if you are dealing with the sales team at BMW, please be ready to walk away from a deal at any moment, they don't really negotiate, like if you say you need navigation, but not tinted windows, they sell the package as is, and won't buckle to give in on anything. They value any touches to the vehicle too much. Plus, the maint package isn't really a huge sale, they only have scheduled maint every 7,000 and then 11,000 miles, this causes a bit of concern to me as whenever I go into Baron for service checkups they are packed leading me to believe that maint is occuring alot on other cars. They use this as a upsell component, however they value this service at $2K minimum per car, but so far I have only had three (3) main checks during 36K miles, so I'm getting basically $100 value (3 regular checkups @ $35 each) for the maint I thought was so crucial. My rating scale should actually include Intro sales - 1 (terrible, several call backs to look at cars) Sales - .5 (they constantly move on price in their direction, even when I don't ask for more bells and whistles) Walk thru of sale - .5 (the lady who explains your contract doesn't speak english, which makes it very difficult, luckily I work with contracts on a daily basis) Price - .5 (i've talked to people who went to ST.Louis even got St.Louis to deliver to KC for cheaper) Service - 5 More
