I have been able to purchase two vehicles with Nick’s support. My experience has been top notch each time. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to consider this dealership and ask for Ni support. My experience has been top notch each time. Proceed with Caution — My Experience With the 2016 Lincoln MKX Reserve AWD I recently attempted to purchase the white 2016 Lincoln MKX Reserve AWD that Baron BMW re-listed after I took it for a pre Lincoln MKX Reserve AWD I recently attempted to purchase the white 2016 Lincoln MKX Reserve AWD that Baron BMW re-listed after I took it for a pre-purchase inspection on Friday, 12/5/25. My experience was disappointing enough that I feel it’s important to share since I saw it back up online today. During the inspection at Mission Auto, the shop identified several issues: * An approximately $6,000 engine oil leak * A failing infotainment screen * A running-board lamp circuit short to battery I provided Baron BMW with photos and the inspection findings. Although the vehicle had been advertised with a 30-day major-components warranty, I was told the dealership would not be repairing these issues. Instead, I was informed that if I wanted the vehicle, I would need to buy it “as is” at the same negotiated price of $12,500, which we reached under the assumption the issue was limited to a camera problem. By today (Monday), the vehicle was already back on their website for $12,900, with no mention of the major oil leak or other issues. Because the dealership also stated they were “not very familiar with Lincolns,” and I find it difficult to believe the repairs have been completed over the weekend, given the estimated 20-hour repair time. I also experienced issues with the financing process. My bank (USAA) confirmed that the dealership had not submitted my paperwork for about a week, despite the dealership telling me it had already been sent. I was also encouraged to use the dealership’s financing to “speed up the process.” It ultimately took a recorded three-way call with me, my bank, and the salesperson for the dealership to acknowledge they had not sent the paperwork. They did send it out the next day, but I was told I would still need to wait an additional seven days because they did not trust my bank’s financing. When I chose not to proceed due to the discovered mechanical problems, the dealership initially said they would keep $1,000 of my deposit, claiming the car had been off the market “for weeks” because of me, even though the delays were tied to their own paperwork timeline. They also mentioned that other buyers were interested, to which I replied that any buyer should be aware of the $6,000 oil leak (primarily labor due to the location of the component), as it could significantly affect buyer interest. I’m relieved I chose to walk away from the purchase at this point. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend anyone considering this vehicle, or purchasing from this dealership, obtain an independent inspection. A car listed around $13,000 that needs an additional $6,000+ in repairs can quickly become a much more expensive purchase than expected. I originally planned to hold off on leaving a review and simply chalk this up to a disappointing dealership experience. However, when I saw the same vehicle relisted today at the original price, with no mention of the issues that were identified during my inspection and that the dealership declined to repair, I felt it was important to share my experience. My Google review has images taken during my inspection at Mission Auto on 12/5/25. If the dealership is able to clarify whether any of the identified repairs were completed between Friday afternoon and when the vehicle was relisted today, and why the repairs were not offered when I was actively in the process of purchasing the vehicle on Friday, that information would be appreciated. Update 12/26/25: my bank has still not received their money back from Baron BMW. Baron wouldn't let me sign the paperwork (had the PPI done right before planning to do this) until they officially confirmed they received the funds from my bank. The reasoning they gave for the 4 week delay is it takes a while to receive the funds to send back...the funds they wouldn't let me sign for the car until they recieved... More
