We apologize that you feel we are not a trust-worthy business. We would never charge someone’s credit card without their signature or authorization. Your authorization came in the form of a PIN number that you submitted to us. We provided you with a credit card receipt for your deposit while we were awaiting final credit approval from the bank. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to obtain financing on your behalf. We processed the refund immediately after it was brought to our attention and unfortunately the two day processing time exists because of your bank and credit card provider’s processing time, not ours. Again, we apologize that after coming to an agreement, signing a buyers order, filing out a credit application, physically giving us your debit card, giving us the PIN number and receiving a receipt for the deposit amount...all the time while waiting to take delivery of your new car, that it came as a surprise that we processed your down payment. I assure you that it was processed within a few moments of your phone call, reminding us to refund the deposit. (We would have processed it the following morning when our office staff is back in). Our apologies again, Basil Volkswagen
