Anthony's integrity and helpfulness is a true asset to the team at Bay Ridge. He evaluated a difficult situation clearly and did the right thing. Anthony far exceeded our expectations and turned our car buying experience into a very positive one. A quick bit of background: Our experience working with Anthony during the purchasing process of our certified pre-owned 2014 Subaru Outback went smoothly. However, after we drove the car home we noticed problems with the two rear tires. We contacted Anthony about the problem. He set up an appointment for us when the Service Department again opened on Monday. When we arrived at Bay Ridge Subaru, Anthony met us and looked at the tires with the service manager, Andrew. Apologizing for the car not being up to certified pre-owned standards, he assured us that it would be taken care of right away. We waited while two new tires were installed. Bay Ridge Subaru has a good team of people and Anthony Grippo is right at the top as far as we are concerned. When we are ready to purchase another Subaru, we will contact Anthony first. He never pressured us or "fast talked" us, and offered us the best deal of all the Subaru dealers we visited. We also met with Michael Chiusano and he was equally helpful, informative and non-pressuring. Once we had purchased the vehicle, Anthony took the time to familiarize us with it and show us how the equipment worked, and even told us that we could call him any time if we had any further questions. Priced out the trade-in value and the price of the new car on Autotrader and KBB and cars.com and got the "guaranteed" low price from autotrader with the exact options I wanted. Based on my bad dealership experiences with Honda I went in loaded for bear! To my surprise, it couldn't have been a more pleasant and stress-free experience. Went in on a Sunday and met the salesman Joseph Teti. The man is friendly, professional, personable, and as honest and transparent as anyone I've ever dealt with. Without saying a word, he priced out the new car at approximately $600 less than the autotrader "excellent" price for my area, and used the dealer inventory price and not the sticker price. The car with the accessories had to be located, and and the trade-in value of my car was what I was hoping for. By Friday afternoon, I was back to finalize and pick up my new car. I was introduced to the finance manager, Craig Miller. Again, no high pressure, just a discussion about the extended warranty and the theft recovery system. he laid at the facts, and let me come to a decision on my own. The transaction was complete, the registration transfer processed on premises and I drove out with my new Subaru with the permanent registration, the options I requested, at a better price than I expected. Oh, and his walk-through of the actual functions of the car was informative, fun, and done in a way that Joe shows his personal passion and love of the product he represents. I couldn't be happier and more satisfied. Thank you, Joe! More
