I Sent my car in for a factory recall. Was told my fluids had all been topped off, but I checked under my hood and saw that the coolant was nearly empty (this was the second time this had happened ) and my w had all been topped off, but I checked under my hood and saw that the coolant was nearly empty (this was the second time this had happened ) and my window washing fluid which I filled to the Max before bringing my car in was also empty, tire pressure light also activated (even though I had also filled my tires up too) customer service is great, it’s fantastic they’re very friendly and accommodating, it’s the actual servicing and mechanics that needs improvement. I had my vehicle in for routine maintenance - conventional oil change for my 3.6R Outback and I asked that my battery and charging system be checked since I had a battery indicator light on. I wa conventional oil change for my 3.6R Outback and I asked that my battery and charging system be checked since I had a battery indicator light on. I was told everything was checked and there was no problem - even though the battery indicator light remained on. 5 days later, on an out of town family trip, the vehicle completely died while on the road. Battery was completely depleted and was not being recharged by alternator (which turned out to be dead). Had to have vehicle towed and had to spend the night out of town to have the vehicle serviced the next day. Alternator had to be replaced and new battery. A Huge inconvenience and expense when something like this should have been detected and tested during service at Bay Ridge Subaru. Really Disappointing. More
