The worst car buying experience for the most money to buy. The customer service was embarrassinly short coming. buy. The customer service was embarrassinly short coming. More
Purchased 2016 Lincoln MKZ on 30 July 2023, car died on 30 August 2023. PTU and Transmission failure. Cost of repair from Beau Townsend $8,800. Took it to an independent service provider and was told that 30 August 2023. PTU and Transmission failure. Cost of repair from Beau Townsend $8,800. Took it to an independent service provider and was told that the PTU basically fell apart. What they noticed about the parts were that they were labeled with parts from the junkyard. There was also a recall issued on this vehicle by NHTSA in March of 2023, which had not been repaired. I informed BT Ford about this recall and they did nothing until I contacted the Lincoln/Ford complaint line. Although they had prior notice from me, they kept the car an additional 3 weeks. They told me two weeks prior that parts had been ordered and received, and would be fixed the next day. 3 weeks later, nothing. No contact or response to my inquiries. Once the complaint line called them, miraculously the car was ready for pick up. So then I call a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle and tow company was told by BT Ford service department that there was no car there in my name. Finally got the car towed. But in the meantime, I have sent an email to the entire staff (management, (sales dept. service dept, vehicle acquisition dept, finance dept), explaining the issues I was having with this vehicle. My 22 year old almost died when the car failed on the middle of a busy street. No response to my email from anyone. I called owner Beau Townsend directly 3 times (since his email address is not listed) and left voicemail each time. No response from him either. I have purchased 2 new cars from this dealership and have had a positive experience, but buying a used car was horrible! Sales, finance, management and service department are unprofessional, unhelpful and downright disrespectful. The only answer to me was “so sorry, that’s unfortunate “ But they keep sending me emails offering to buy my 2019 Fusion and coupons for service. Why not buy the MKZ or offer coupons for that service? Because they know it’s a piece of junk. They don’t want that car, were glad to pawn it off of me. Do not EVER buy a used car from this dealership or you’ll be sorry! More
Worst Service Department I have worked with since I began buying automobiles and trucks 39 years ago. I ordered a new 2022 Lincoln Navigator Black Label last spring. It has required REPAIRS twice even thoug buying automobiles and trucks 39 years ago. I ordered a new 2022 Lincoln Navigator Black Label last spring. It has required REPAIRS twice even though it has much less than 6,000 miles on it. The first service was a disaster. The truck sat on their lot for almost 3 weeks and NO ONE called me. If I called in I could only get a very nice man named Gene who didn’t have any information about my SUV. I called the salesman when it became clear that no one from the service department had any interest in helping me. Finally, after three weeks and numerous telephone calls, my SUV was returned. The second time service was required the SUV’s alarm system was constantly going off for no reason in the middle of the night. I called my salesman and arranged for a service call. Almost 3 weeks later (if it’s there 2 more days it will be 3 weeks) my Lincoln is still at the dealership. Dalton, the service rep, has given up. He claims he cannot replicate the situation nor does he have any prior experience with similar circumstances. However, it only takes a quick google search to verify this is a common problem for Lincoln products. There are even videos on YouTube detailing various options for repairs. When I contacted my salesman he was aware not only of the problem but had several ideas for repair options. Dalton’s strategy: return my SUV with under 6,000 miles on it to me with no repairs made and insist I keep a log when the alarm goes off. I guess I am expected to camp out in my garage to track this. Dalton is very condescending and very defensive. Along with making the repair ( that never happened) my car was supposed to be detailed. I was told it would be done last Friday and delivered. Today is Tuesday and I haven’t gotten a phone call to arrange drop off despite the fact Dalton left a message at 12:09 p.m. that the SUV would be returned today. I hadn’t heard a word by 5:15 p.m. So, I called Dalton who informed me “once they release it over there” it is no longer his responsibility. Even though he is the only service person I have spoken to about the detail and the repair other than the salesman. After leaving me on hold for over 5 minutes he tells me “they usually have only 1 or 2 cars a day but today they had 14 or 15.” So, once again my SUV sat in their lot for almost 3 weeks with nothing being done. I tried to voice my frustration to Dalton and he rudely interrupted me, stated he TOLD me to keep a log and he wasn’t going to discuss it further. I would never recommend this dealership. There is absolutely no customer service. The Service Department is a joke and the service employees rude. I am fed up. My salesman, Mike Myers, has been most courteous but unfortunately his best efforts cannot erase the consistent failures and outright rudeness of the Service Department. First thing tomorrow morning, I intend to call other Lincoln dealerships in the area and arrange to have my service done at a reputable and competent Lincoln Service Department where my SUV doesn’t have to sit outside in the sun, rain, etc. for 3 weeks at a time and still be returned to me with absolutely no repair being made. Had I known the service department was like this I never would have purchased a vehicle from them at any price. I recommend you buy your vehicle anywhere but Beau Townsend Lincoln. If you do purchase a car or truck there I believe you will regret it like I do. More

Beau Townsend Ford SERVICE was extremely helpful to me and my Wife. We are full time RVers that have been across the country over the past 7 years. I have had my F-350 Super Duty truck that has been pulli and my Wife. We are full time RVers that have been across the country over the past 7 years. I have had my F-350 Super Duty truck that has been pulling our 43’ Fifth wheel. We have had the engine light come on two time in 7 years, the first time a Ford service center come through for us in Colorado. Now we were at a campground in Dayton, Ohio for just a few days at the W.P. AFB Famcamp. Engine light came on and had just 3 days before having to head to another state. Called up Beau Townsend Ford service center and got a hold of diesel mechanic Michael Platfoot who got me in the next day when most other Ford service dealers did not want to help us. We were on a time crunch. Found out it was a sensor that they had in stock and that could have left us stranded on the side of the road. They got us in and back on the road. Beau Townsend Ford has done a great job helping us and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you, Beau Townsend Ford Service, and Thank you Michael Platfoot. More
If you purchase your vehicle from Beau, do not take it back for any type of warranty or recalls. Incompetence accurately characterizes the lack of service you'll receive. 1st schedule appointment for re back for any type of warranty or recalls. Incompetence accurately characterizes the lack of service you'll receive. 1st schedule appointment for recall; nothing was done to vehicle 2nd appointment; notified parts were not available and had to be ordered After 2nd appointment, service desk arranged loaner to be provided as a result of their mistake and unnecessary trips. 3rd appointment, wife shows up on time and a very rude service clerk denied her the loaner and is waiting for service with children I have bought numerous new vehicles from Beau and that will cease as a result of their very poor and rude service department to loyal customers. Women beware: You will be discriminated against at Beau Townsend Ford by the management. Ordered a Maverick. Eight months later it arrived. Arrived to pick it up. Worked with Josh. Got financing going Townsend Ford by the management. Ordered a Maverick. Eight months later it arrived. Arrived to pick it up. Worked with Josh. Got financing going. Went for a test drive. Loved it. Went to do a walk-around of it, and found a dent & scratches on rear fender. Alerted salesman. I was obviously upset. He was apologetic, and offered to repair it for me. and give me a loaner. I asked for some type of reasonable compensation - a lowered sale price or accessory. I was told no. I req to speak to the manager, and a man came in. Never introduced himself, Just sat down. He said they would do nothing for me other than fix it, and if I didn't want the truck, that was fine. His arrogant attitude was such that I knew he didn't want me to buy it. I attempted to state my case further, at which point Bret said "I am not a back and forth guy. Do you want the truck or not." This upset me further, and I explained that I didn't want a brand new truck that had to have body work and paint, with no compensation whatsoever for me, the customer. He then taunted me and said if I said anything further (like I was a child), he wouldn't even sell the truck to me. I told him I ORDERED it. He said it didn't matter, and again said that if I said anything further, that he would not sell me the truck. I then explained to him that I knew why he didn't want to sell it to me, because he could sell it outright to someone who didn't order it, for 10K over MSRP (which the salesman later confirmed, they would do). Bret was demeaning, and was definitely bullying me because I am a woman. I told him to quit being an xxx, and he said, "You are really tough, aren't you?" This coming from a from a sales manager! I could tell he did not like a woman sticking up for herself, but I won't be intimidated. He then ordered me to decide. I contemplated it, got up, and told him to go straight to xxxx, and walked out. Josh offered me a ride home (since I sold my car the day before, in anticipation of getting my new truck), I accepted. This type of behavior from someone in management is absolutely unacceptable. Not once did Bret apologize for not having someone inspect the vehicle before trying to sell it to me damaged. All I got from him was an insolent attitude. I would have had them repair it, and purchased it, had it not been for Bret's bullying behavior. I had to ask Josh what that mans name and title was, as we exited the building. He should be terminated. Please go elsewhere to buy a Ford. More
