Well, after having essentially been dismissed by the customer service manager, here you go internet... Beware of Bell Ford's PREDATORY, DISHONEST, and utterly SHAMEFUL business practices. My F150 customer service manager, here you go internet... Beware of Bell Ford's PREDATORY, DISHONEST, and utterly SHAMEFUL business practices. My F150 was in service for two issues. The first they couldn't figure out. The second, I was told that my brand new battery that was installed the week prior was bad and that the only way to fix the issue was to install a new Ford OEM battery. Advisor stated (on their recorded line) that it wouldn't take a charge above 80%. I approved the replacement and asked for the "bad" battery back so I could follow up with its failure. The battery was visibly bulging and swollen, symptoms consistent with over charging. Both my advisor and the texts from the service department state that they attempted to charge the battery. But the customer service manager says "oh no, you're mistaken. I don't know what to tell you." Communication: The service department's communication is abysmal. I got four different diagnosis on my vehicle from four different people. My advisor, texts/paperwork from the tech, the service manager, and the customer service manager all provided different information. How are customers supposed to make an educated and informed decision like this? Diagnostics: My vehicle was driven for personal use while in the possession of Bell Ford, including a tech taking my vehicle home at least one night. I discovered when I picked it up they had driven the vehicle 130 miles, at my expense. My guess it would have been more, had they not given it back with an empty tank. Appointments: They mean nothing. I'm sympathetic to the fact that the service department is short staffed. But my vehicle sat on the lot for 14 days and spent 3 actual days in service. Don't count on a loaner vehicle or alternate transportation, even with Ford PremiumCARE, because that won't be available until they get around to looking at it. So my advice would be to save yourself the headache and service your vehicle elsewhere. Do better Bell Ford. More
