We had a very positive experience with Julio Hernandez, our sales consultant. I first visited the dealership alone to look at the CRV. Julio was very patient in explaining all the details and features of our sales consultant. I first visited the dealership alone to look at the CRV. Julio was very patient in explaining all the details and features of the car. He did not pressure me and honored my request not to call us. I did receive one call from a manager (don't remember who), and I then reminded Julio of my request. We didn't hear from them again. Then my husband and I went together to ask additional questions after we had looked at other models. Again, Julio was helpful and polite. We came home and did some online research. Several days later I scheduled an appointment with Julio and we purchased a 2013 CRV. Bell Honda did not have the exact car we were looking for, but they were able to get it from another dealership. My only complaint was the amount of time it took to get everything done. Lots of going back and forth, waiting for paperwork, meeting with a manager, more sitting and waiting, etc. Even though we were paying cash, we still had to complete finance documents which added to the time we were there. Total time we spent on the day of purchase was probably 5-6 hours, and that didn't count the two preliminary visits . Once everything was finally complete, we met with Amanda Della Donne and she went over what we needed to know about the car. Unfortunately, by that time, it was the end of the day, we were tired and hungry, and it was hot. Amanda was very helpful, and perhaps I will go back and review things with her after we have driven the car for a few days. She called the next day to be sure everything was okay and to see if we had any questions. Of all the employees we dealt with, I most appreciated Julio Hernandez, and would definitely recommend him to family members or friends who were shopping for a Honda. We may have pursued other avenues to buy a Honda (fleet, online, AAA) had it not been for Julio and the respect he showed to me. The atmosphere at the dealership was clean and pleasant, and we were given water each time we were there, which is important in Phoenix during the summer. We still need to have alarm equipment installed in the car, so if I have additional comments after that, I will submit them, also after we use the service department for the first time. Service Advisor George Haslerig and shop foreman Kevin Crush made my day today. I have been going to Bell Honda service department for over 15 years. I keep going back because I trust that they only do what is necessary and today that trust was 200% fortified! George's persistence made Kevin find the rattle in my car. Within 15 minutes it was fixed and I was not charged! George is always courteous and great to work with. Thank you George and Kevin! More
I purchased my vehicle at a Tent Sales event where many dealerships were in attendance. The sales person and the service department are fantastic. Where Bell Honda lacks good customer service is in the Finance Department. Jaimie Husgen was my finance manager. He whizzed through the paperwork and made the process uncomfortable. I didn't get the price I was told I would as they had said they could get me the vehicle for about $350 a month with a down payment. I ended up paying $100 more than that a month with the down payment. I later found the vehicle I purchased on line listed by Peoria Ford $1,000 cheaper than what I paid for it at Bell Honda! It gets worse. I got a call from Jamie a week later. He said he didn't get all the paperwork signed and he needed me to sign more. I drove 50 minutes to sign more paperwork. I asked him twice if he was going to give me copies of the paperwork and he stated, "Nothing has changed. It is the same paperwork. I just forgot to have you sign some of it." Well he did not explain the new agreement added a $484 payment 2 weeks earlier than I was originally told and what the first set of paperwork showed. When I called and spoke with Jamie about this problem he did not apologize. He just said that he could cancel the contract with the 3rd party finance company. I asked him to please do that as I did not have the funds available at that time. Two days later, the funds are debited from my account and I am hit with NSF's. I called the 3rd party credit company who stated that the contract had never been cancelled. I called Jamie back and left a message advising of the fees and that the contract had not been cancelled like he said he would take care of. He never returned my call. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch at Bell Honda. More
