Doug, I am sorry about the experience you felt you received here. First, as you were made aware of GM parts distribution was on strike for over a month as they negotiated a new contract which prevented us form getting parts in a timely manner. None of it had to do with us not wanting to get the vehicle repaired under warranty quickly for you. In regards to your other issue of the paint flaking. if this was a paint defect Cadillac would stand behind the vehicle since it is a new vehicle and covered under warranty. However; as you are aware ( working at a GM dealership) that getting hit with rocks and pebbles and having "road rash" is not covered because it is not a defect in the paint. thus we are unable to cover it under warranty through Cadillac for you and not anything we did.......If there is anything else I can help you with or you have any other questions you would like to discuss please feel free to reach out to me personally at 704-586-2151 ext. 525.....Dave diCecco Customer Relations Manager

It's funny how my Chevrolet rep said that she would cover the defect on the fender. It clearly was there when I purchased the vehicle. The clear coat didn't flake off in 2 weeks. I will get it taken of care myself. It's really poor customer service, and I as a Service Manager would have ran a PET in Dealer Empowerment Tool in Global Connect to determine goodwill coverage and get it handled for my customer. Your team decided not to do that and rather present me with a $1250.00 bill on a car that I have owned for a week. Really classy. I am working with Cadillac now. And want nothing to do with your dishonest and uncaring dealership.

I am not 100% sure what happened but I was told the truck you inquired about had some modifications done to it which were reflected in the pictures but not the price of the truck... The original sales manager was unaware of it and explained that to you...

The only thing correct in your response was you do not know what happened. There was never any mention of ANY modifications to the truck I was interested in, and the sales manager NEVER contacted me ANY explanation! As a matter of fact, this same truck is STILL listed on your website, AT THE SAME PRICE as I mentioned in my review, " Mike Culler doesn't recommend Ben Mynatt Chevrolet. There was no misunderstanding. I have it in writing....there was a purchase order provided with the exact details of the car to be matched. There was discussion of two potential cars on your lot. Don't spin this. Readers, we ended up buying that car from Alabama and it only cost $300 to ship. It saved us over $10K. Don't buy from Ben Mynatt. Go to Donohoo Chevy in Alabama. If you prefer to shop locally, I recommend asking for Tommy Cross at Dale Earnhardt Chevy. He was very honest and upstanding. Although he couldn't meet the deal I had found in Alabama, Tommy Cross tried and was very up front and honest with me. I'd buy from him in a heartbeat. Run, run, run away from Ben Mynatt and their staff.
