Insulting offer on trade in and then shown a car with 4300 miles as new. I knew what I wanted and I explained this to Moe Shurafa. When I explained that I wanted a particular finance plan I was made to 4300 miles as new. I knew what I wanted and I explained this to Moe Shurafa. When I explained that I wanted a particular finance plan I was made to wait 39 minutes to be told it was not available. In 2 minutes of using my phone I showed Hyundai's website where it was very obviously available and after 20 minutes of arguing I was made to feel like an idiot that "of course that rate is available." They then did a hard credit check (2 other dealers were able to check my credit with soft checks). The price he was offering me included a mandatory $2000 protection plan and $1000 mystery fee, When asked about the 1K fee I was told that someone had to find the car and it covers that expense!?!?! The final price I was offered was $4000 over the price on their website and 6K over the price listed on Hyundai's website. After 2 hours of wasted time I went 30 miles south and purchased a NEW vehicle for $4000 less WITH 0% financing and was never badgered or insulted over the pricing. More
called to ask about a vehicle and no answer which was fine, but then i got a call back and some guy said that the vehicle i wanted has been recalled and wasn’t be made anymore and i was confused because fine, but then i got a call back and some guy said that the vehicle i wanted has been recalled and wasn’t be made anymore and i was confused because i hadn’t heard that before and then before even explaining to me what he meant or why there was a recall, he asked if i was looking into any other vehicles and when i said no he just immediately hung up. incredibly rude and would not recommend coming here. and to think i was going to drive a couple of hours to go up there, ridiculous. WARNING! !! If you are interested in buying a Hyundai do not shop here. They are not interested in selling you one. They are not interested in servicing your v !! If you are interested in buying a Hyundai do not shop here. They are not interested in selling you one. They are not interested in servicing your vehicle, honoring their commitments, being honest, or selling cars. This might be the longest review on YELP, however, I am trying to save the consumer, you, any stress. Their website is woefully behind and according to the newbie salesperson, they do not have any control over it, and do not really care what the website says. BIG STAR HYUNDAI's problems are at least three fold. Service - if you try to schedule a simple oil change, they are months away from being able to get to your vehicle. If your Hyundai installed tires are defective, you are responsible for the replacement. All 4 of my Pirelli performance tires installed by Hyundai were defective - tread separation. Service department referred me to Discount Tire and/or Pirelli as they were not original Hyundai parts. Does Hyundai make a tire? Service Part 2 - Apparently you cannot purchase an oil filter outside of Hyundai for the 2020 Sonata Limited. Therefor they offer three years free oil changes. I do not like the oil they use. I prefer synthetic or synthetic blend. So, I was told I would need to purchase my oil filter from their parts department. So, I did. The parts person physically got the VIN number from my vehicle, sold me the part. I took it to Valvoline to have the oil changed. They could not get the filter to fit my car. I called the parts department, spoke with the manager who promptly blamed me for getting the wrong part. I told him it was his employee that was responsible for the apparent wrong VIN and he quickly hung up on me. I called him back to see how we could rectify the situation and he told me I would need to come back to exchange the parts. I informed him that I could not because my car currently did not have an oil filter thanks to them. He said a few bad words, and told me that it would be about an hour until he could get the part to me. I was at a Valvoline station less than five miles from their shop. Advertisement - website - not accurate at all. Does not accurately reflect current inventory. Salespeople do not even know what is on the lot. I had an appointment with Theresa Ivie (spelling) to test drive a car. Things came up and I had to reschedule my appointment. I received a call from Theresa confirming my appointment. I drove over 30 miles and was early for my appointment. Theresa did not meet me, another sales associate did, Erin saying that Theresa told her to meet me. Of course she did. Erin asked what I was interested in, I told her, she proceeded to tell me that she sold that vehicle early that morning. I would be OK with that if they had called me to inform me that the vehicle was sold so I could avoid making the trip. Erin did not even attempt to show me any other cars. = they do not want to sell you cars. I asked her if there were other cars from the hybrid I was interested as in the Elantra Limited. She condescendingly replied, "I told you we do not have any Hybrid Limiteds on the lot." Not what I asked. So I tried to explain it to her that it was a different vehicle. I told her the website listed at least 6 of the Limiteds. She looked it up, and said the website is operated by a sub contractor and they are never right. I will write a separate review about the sales department later. A couple of days before my visit, the sales manager contacted me to confirm my appointment and to verify that I was interested in the $250 gift card. I assumed it was a legitimate gift card, Visa, HEB, something like that. Turns out it is a glorified coupon book/card. You know, like the boy scouts sell for jamboree only in gift card form. = worthless. When this place was Ron Carter it was OK. I purchased many Hyundai's there. At least five from the same salesman who no longer works there. I think he saw the "Big Star" writing on the wall and quit, or was too qualified and got fired intentionally. Needless to say, I am not buying from them again. Probably not going to buy another Hyundai. More
Dismissive and no follow up. I understand, there is a vehicle shortage and it was going to be a few days before I could make a purchase. I was not impressed, however, with the organization. I had sched vehicle shortage and it was going to be a few days before I could make a purchase. I was not impressed, however, with the organization. I had scheduled an appointment online and it was confirmed with a saleswoman who had texted a confirmation AND followup email. When I arrived, I was put with someone else, and he was late. As soon as he realized I wasn't buying something that day (I was waiting on a settlement check from my insurance) he got me a key to test drive and then I never saw him again. There was no follow up, despite my reaching out for a driveout price a few days later. More
Not very honest when dealing with warranty issues. They find ways not to honor your warranty. They will work the angle that you have not changed your oil per Hyundai maintenance guidelines telling you it s find ways not to honor your warranty. They will work the angle that you have not changed your oil per Hyundai maintenance guidelines telling you it should be performed per sever duty service and not per Hyundai normal service. This never happened when the dealership was Ron Carter Hyundai. My daughter's Santa Fe has only 41k miles, 4 years old and has had the turbo replaced 2 times. Ron Carter Hyundai replaced it the first time per Hyundai warranty and Big Star Hyundai 11k miles later claimed it failed per sever duty mileage guidelines. Also her car set on their lot over 4 months for them to get the part. Please do not use Big Star very dishonest. The manager got very angry with me when i discussed warranty issues and oil changes, also that I had bought 2 Hyundai from Ron Carter and their service was outstanding but due to your shady practices I decided to purchase my wife's new 2022 Hyundai Palisade from a different dealership paying cash and would never ever consider doing any business with you. Do not do business with this dishonest business. More

Big Star Hyundai is a rip off do not do business with them. They advertise $39.95 oil changes but when you get there the price is over $80 unless you buy a package of three for $129. I bought my Hyunda them. They advertise $39.95 oil changes but when you get there the price is over $80 unless you buy a package of three for $129. I bought my Hyundai new when it was Ron Carter and have had all my oil changes done for the past two years at that facility. As I have always done I scheduled my appointment online (less than 2 weeks ago) with it showing the $39.95 price but when I got there this morning it was $82. In fact it was still showing the $39.95 price when I pulled it up and showed them this morning. When I questioned them about it the manager simply told me the price went up, but he did say I could get it for $42 if I wanted to buy the three oil change package for $129. RIP-OFF. BOTTOM LINE IS YOU BETTER BE READY TO PAY DOUBLE IF YOU SCHEDULE THROUGH THEIR ONLINE WEBSITE. More
Just don't go here, don't even step foot in the door. They have forced lending, which means that they do not allow you to use your pre-approved loan. They add on 20% of the MSRP. On Monday December 20, I called Big Star Hyundai and spoke with Bonnie who assured me that the car I was asking about from their website was in stock. I told here that I was coming from over an hour aw spoke with Bonnie who assured me that the car I was asking about from their website was in stock. I told here that I was coming from over an hour away and was taking time off work to come buy this specific car and she, again, promised me that it was available. I drove over an hour to get there, asked for Bonnie and was told to wait in the lobby area for her. A few minutes later, a lady called my name and I asked if she was Bonnie and she said "No, I'm Bonnie's assistant". I told her what I came to buy and she tells me that the car was sold on December 6. I was given the run around, no one could find Bonnie, and then I was told that a manager would come talk to me. No manager ever showed up. The sales lady handed me 2 worthless gift cards that aren't worth wasting the time trying to use. This is a horrible display of malicious and deceitful sales practices. I was not only extremely disappointed but my time was disrespected, and it cost me gas and loss of money from my job. I called the dealership as I was driving the hour back to work and I spoke with Lori who said she was a manager. She gave me the name and number to another dealership in another town. That turned out to be bs too. Everyone I dealt with at Big Star Hyundai are snakes. More
Com artists and liars. Lies about the mileage and pulled a bait and switch on the cost. Added like $10k to my total without saying and with no explanation. a bait and switch on the cost. Added like $10k to my total without saying and with no explanation. More
