When I contacted Bill Jacobs BMW about a used 2007 Mercedes C-Class that I was interested in,they put me in contact with Bill Earnest. I explained to Bill that I had about a 3 1/2 hour drive to come s Mercedes C-Class that I was interested in,they put me in contact with Bill Earnest. I explained to Bill that I had about a 3 1/2 hour drive to come see the car the next day and also I was driving from out of state. Bill visually inspected the car for me and made sure the car was worth the drive. He made sure the car would be available for me the next day and explained how buying a car out of state works, since I've never had dealt with it before.It was really quite a relief that he would do this for me, it made the trip to see it much more relaxed! I'm so glad I made the drive! We got a great price and the car was in perfect shape. Bill did all the work for us, nothing to worry about! All in all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend Bill Earnest of Bill Jacobs BMW to anyone looking for a great deal and a great sales person who will make sure you're taken care of.I look forward to buying more cars from Bill Earnest in the future. I just recently purchased my first BMW, a certified, pre-owned 2007, 530xi wagon. The whole experience was amazing. The sales pitch was totally about the car and not the sale. The sales associate, Bill Earnest was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with my questions as well as my two visits to test drive the car. When I came in to pick up the vehicle, Bill Earnest spent over an hour explaining to me how the car functioned...even the "dreaded" i-drive. Bill even helped me set up my blackberry with the car's Bluetooth system. After Bill took me through the i-drive system, I was working it like a pro on my way home from the dealership! I recently purchased a new X5 and I have to say it was one of the best car buying experiences ever. Matt Laxton was wonderful!! I went into the dealership looking for a sedan, but Matt really took time one of the best car buying experiences ever. Matt Laxton was wonderful!! I went into the dealership looking for a sedan, but Matt really took time to listen to my needs and why I was looking to get out of an SUV. Matt took the time to talk me though both the sedan and the SUV and took me out to test drive both. He knows these vehicles inside and out and also knows how they compare to the competition, which also helped me narrow down the brand of vehicle I was going to purchase. I have to say it was refreshing to work with someone that knows the product so well. There was no pressure and the second time I came back in to the dealership Matt was just as kind, attentive and professional. I also had a great experience with the Finance Manager Jerry Goutos. Regardless of the fact that it was close to closing time he took his time to walk me thought the paperwork and the warranty documents so as to make sure that I clearly understood everything. I have gone back into the dealership recently to purchase a couple of extras for the car, and each time Matt had come by to say hello and ask how things are going with the new car. Everyone is always very professional and makes me even happier about my purchase as I know I have a stellar team of professionals there to help with anything should I need it. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE ILLINOIS AVOID THIS DELEARSHIP LIKE THE PLAGUE. I live in Maryland, I drove for 14 hours after I got my fully loaded 328 convertible form Bill Jacobs. Service was stellar, at least p THE PLAGUE. I live in Maryland, I drove for 14 hours after I got my fully loaded 328 convertible form Bill Jacobs. Service was stellar, at least prior to my signing on the dotted line. This is where my nightmare began. 1. I was made to believe that my car would get a BMW extended warranty, it did not, it was an extended warranty from a third party which I stupidly paid $2240.It shortchanged me 10 months. Jerry Goutos, the finance adviser promised to remedy it. If he can't even deliver temporary tags so I can still drive passed March 21st on my temporary tags, can I expect him to troubleshoot my extended warranty? 2. My temporary tags expires March 21st. After lots of emails, phone calls to Bill Jacobs being passed from one voicemail to another, to get my permanent tags. I'ts still not here.On March 22nd, I have to commute 47 miles RT to work because I can't drive my car with expired tags. 3. Two to three weeks ago, Jerry Goutos rushed me to get an MD state inspection so he can process my tags and titles. The very next day,I mailed the completed inspection form.I was told tags and titled would be delayed thus I was promised temporary extension tags via fedex almost a week ago so I can still drive my car passed March 21st. Didn't realize fedex is that slow to get a piece of paper from IL to MD. 4. Car was missing a manual.I was promised a manual by Matthew Laxton though he said it's gonna take a while. Bought car Feb 19, It's now March 21st. Maybe taking a while meant a year for him. 5. Car with sport rims didn't came with wheel locks. My lowly Hondas came with them upon purchased.Bill Jacobs can't even spare $40 wheel locks after their customer spend thousands and came as far as MD. If you are local, maybe they will adress your issues since you can physically follow up their shortcomings.I really hate to play the race card, but now it makes me think:if I didn't have an accent and not a minority would I have been treated better? Or is it just a Bill Jacob culture to relegate you to the trash bin once you sign on the dotted line. More
When my fiance and I decided to buy our first car together, it was a thrilling but stressful experience. Dealer after dealer (Patrick BMW, Woodfield Lexus, Joe Perillo BMW, Orland Park BMW), we weren together, it was a thrilling but stressful experience. Dealer after dealer (Patrick BMW, Woodfield Lexus, Joe Perillo BMW, Orland Park BMW), we weren't being taken seriously for whatever reason, most likely our age. At Bill Jacobs BMW, especially with Bill Earnest, he was warm and gave us every inclination that he is going to do whatever it takes to help his customer. He gave us a fun test drive that really had us test the BMW X3 and his knowledge about BMW was absolutely thorough. Bill Earnest was eager to answer any question and during the negotiation process, he made himself available to us after office hours. Even while walking around Bill Jacobs BMW there were many people who asked us if we needed help or if we were being taken care of. Typically from Woodfield Lexus or Patrick BMW, we could walk aimlessly around the parking lot for hours and no one would ask us if we needed assistance. Overall, Bill Jacobs BMW and Bill Earnest made our first car purchase a very memorable and pleasure experience. We walked away feeling like a million bucks and a friend in Bill Earnest. When you make a significant purchase in your life such as a car, you want to feel important, warm, and feel like you're truly being taken care of from the dealership/salesman. That's what we felt at Bill Jacobs BMW. I certainly plan on buying another car from Bill Earnest and refer my friends to Bill and Bill Jacobs BMW also. More
Started out with a salesman other than Bill Earnest, who ultimately left this dealership and in my opinion, that was a good thing for Bill Jacobs. Following his departure I worked with Bill Earnest who is a stand up guy and helped work through some issues created by the departing sales rep. Bill Earnest is no doubt, a reasonable person to deal with and I believe honest with regard to his transactions. If you're looking for a sales rep when purchasing a BMW, I would highly recommend Bill Earnest. In addition to the above, Bill’s also a genuinely nice individual. He put up with me and that’s no easy task. Additionally, their pre owned car manager was also reasonable in working through a dispute. I believe Bill Jacob’s addressed my concerns and in the end, did the right thing. I know you can’t say that about a lot of dealerships. More

His attention to detail and understanding customer needs is top notch. The service staff has always gone the extra mile for any concern that I bring to them. I understand that I can sometimes be very meticulous with my concerns, and they do everything in their powers to address those concerns. By far outclasses all other BMW dealerships in the area, and all dealerships regardless of make in the area. More
