I went into Bill Jacobs Volkswagen’s Dealer (DLR) on Aurora Ave in Naperville looking for a new car on one of the coldest days in January. Nikolina Vogler helped me immediately. She was kind, patient, and really listened to what I needed. That day, I test drove a Golf and a Jetta (and she pulled the car into the service bay to keep me warmer.) She let me know her work hours and offered flexible times. I really appreciate Nikolina helping me even though the car was for my adult daughter. Two days later, my daughter test drove several VW vehicles. Nikolina went above and beyond just a test drive. She showed us color options, explained different models, and offered to find anything we needed in a vehicle. That day, Nikolina gave us printouts with price quotes and explained different financing options. On new vehicles, the Bill Jacobs DLR offers an additional "Total Mile Protection 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty” (not offered at all other Volkswagen DLRs.) My daughter test drove different brands at other DLRs. A couple days later, she went in and test drove the vehicles again. She decided to buy the fully-loaded Volkswagen Jetta SEL. With DLR discounts it was only $1,000 more than other brands’ top sedans (which still don’t have as many luxury features as the Jetta SEL.) At 8:00 pm she decided to buy, Nikolina and the DLR stayed open late to let her complete the purchase (it included license plate and registration–no need to go to the DMV). We appreciate all the help and service Nikolina Vogler and Bill Jacobs Volkswagen gave us. Thanks to you all. More

My experience at this dealership from sales to service has been nothing short of completely unacceptable. Buyer beware. First problems arose during the sales process where i was given an interest rate has been nothing short of completely unacceptable. Buyer beware. First problems arose during the sales process where i was given an interest rate figure that i had been supposedly approved for on the sales floor, then in the finance office i was given another, higher interest rate. When asked about the discrepancy, i was given an incoherent answer, coming down to "that’s just how it settled upstairs. " given that i still wanted the vehicle, i let this go. I should not have, given that this is more than likely willful deception and probably illegal. Second issue was from my pre-delivery inspection. Unbeknownst to me, the service department failed to remove suspension spacers on my brand new vehicle, causing my front suspension mounts to be quote "destroyed” within 1500 miles/90 days, according to John at the service dept. My third issue was also related to this same service. When i brought the vehicle in to service a recall and my suspension suddenly rattling and creaking from my destroyed front suspension, one of their technicians had taken my vehicle for a joyride on the roads immediately around the dealership, reaching speeds up to 75mph on roads that have speed limits that max out at 30. Not to mention that this is during the break-in period of my vehicle, causing unknown damage to the long-term reliability of my car. I have completely lost confidence in my vehicle’s reliability and safety as a result. My fourth issue is the complete unresponsiveness from this dealer. Every single time i call this dealer, no matter what department or person i ask for, or what time of day, i have been told that no one is available to help me, and i am pointed to a voicemail box that is equally unresponsive. You also cant reach these people via E-mail either, they will just ignore it if you’re not actively trying to purchase a vehicle. I had to physically go to this dealer on a saturday afternoon to talk to someone about my issue to actually get some level of service. Totally unprofessional. This dealership, despite my continued patience and accommodation, has completely fallen short every single time i have interacted with them. I would never recommend Bill Jacobs VW/BMW/etc. to anyone i know, because of the terrible quality of service i have received and the utter lack of professionalism from the staff at all levels. Do yourself a favor and don’t trust this dealership with your 5-figure purchase. They don’t care about you once that vehicle leaves the sales floor More
