You can reach me either by phone or in person. I was at the dealer last week to pickup my car after being told it was ready. Upon arrival: 1. There was an obvious adhesive/glue stain on the exterior of the driver door 2. The new taillight was scratched up. When asked how you guys were able to get it so fast after being told it was on back order, the service advisor stated “I don’t know” which I hate to say, leads me to believe a used part was put on my car. 3. The carpet in the rear that was changed had a pretty noticeable gap between the end of the carpet and the beginning of the center console. To the point you could actually see the frame/floor of the vehicle as there wasn’t enough carpet to cover it all. When these things were pointed out to the service advisor Kathy, she almost seemed to get upset at me. “Fine we are going to try and fix your old carpet and put it back in but you have to wait for it because I don’t want to deal with this anymore” was her response. As if I am purposely wanting to keep the car I just purchased at the dealership for more than half the time I have owned it. Her attitude was not needed nor helping the situation whatsoever. After seemingly giving up on trying to help me she called Tony the sales manager to come “deal with me” as she put it. Tony apologized for the situation and said they will take a taillight assembly off of another Accord they have on the lot and try to repair my old carpet. This really upset me; now I will have a brand new car I purchased, with used parts and an attempt to repair a defect on the carpet the vehicle had before I even purchased it. I am very curious to understand, do you at the dealership think it’s acceptable to have a brand new car with these issues and then essentially give up on repairs and just throw anything at it to try and make the problem go away? Kathy told me Honda is aware of the taillight problem so all new accords have it; so basically the used taillight from the other car that is going to be put on my car is going to go bad again in a few months. I don’t see how you can fix the carpet issue seeing as how it was pretty clear that carpet was basically missing from certain spots. If you wish to reach me my number is 708-833-1351. I don’t think it’s fair at all that I purchased a brand new car and just made my first payment with my vehicle sitting at the dealer for close to 2 weeks now; just to be told “we’ll fix it with used parts”. I’m reaching the point where I don’t want the vehicle anymore and am contemplating talking to an attorney to see what my options are with getting rid of it. If these are the issues I’ve experienced under 1500 miles and the service I’ve received, I don’t care at all to keep this vehicle or continue my relationship with this dealership.
