It take a bit of time for the sales employee to go up, find the car and bring it down when I could have (and we did) go right up and I saw what I liked and it ended up being the car I bought! Very courteous welcome to the Service Center Immediately directed to the Agent who would handle my account. The gentlemen was very courteous, and went right away to my account. He informed me that, in point of fact, my 'needed' service was quite limited, as I had had several rather large items handled the last time around. So, me with my coupons in hand, was advised that there really only was ONE item that needed service right now. I had not put many miles on the car since the last, comprehensive (and not cheap) service a few months ago. I mentioned that me and my family will be undertaking a rather long road-trip (as is our wont) in another 10 days or so. The point being, this particular service call is to ensure that we can rack-up some 4,000 miles without having to worry about a service hickup. The Bill Page Honda agent, Mr. Kenneth Rodrigues, understood the situation and made no attempt to get me to sign up for some service I did not need. I really appreciated the exchange. More

Purchase of a Honda Odyssey I went to Bill Page Honda in Falls Church after walking out of a deal earlier that day from Brown's Honda in Arlington. The negotiation at Browns was I went to Bill Page Honda in Falls Church after walking out of a deal earlier that day from Brown's Honda in Arlington. The negotiation at Browns was not enjoyable or transparent at all, so when I brought my family into Bill Page I told Thierry (sp?) my sales representative that I needed a certain price and I needed things to move quickly and fairly (two children under 4 in tow, and this was our second dealership of the day. We found the car and arrived at a fair price within 30 minutes which I greatly appreciated. I was greatly disappointed however in the next steps. I told to wait for the financing paperwork bit of the transaction, and was left in the waiting area for 1 h 45 m. During that time my kids went bonkers naturally, and my wife took them home. When I finally was brought in for paperwork, a heavy sales pitch about warranties, etc began. I told the agent about my time pressure, but he said going through it was mandatory. Once I declined everything we did the financing paperwork (I would learn later it was done wrong). Mid financing paperwork, the agent paused to offer me the warranties at "cost". I take offense at that because this was a significant difference from the prices that were described as such a great value just minutes earlier. Trust is completely eroded at that point. I left with the car after spending a total of 7 hours spent between two dealerships just to buy a car that I was already sold on for a price that I already knew was fair. Days later I received a call that my loan paperwork carried my shortened name Geoff versus my full name Geoffrey. The dealership had my drivers license and this was thier error. Perhaps the agent doing the paperwork was distracted with his selling efforts. Anyway the caller that told me that the paperwork needed to be signed again told me to "swing by" to sign it. I told him absolutely not, this was Bill Page Honda's error. You can't "swing by" anywhere in northern virginia, and kids make that even harder. I will not lose an hour and a half of my free time to correct someone elses error. The caller eventually agreed to next day the paperwork which I signed immediately. Major takeaway - Bill Page Honda seems awfully generous with other people's time. Time is immensely valuable and it should not be taken lightly when people wait unnecessarily and/or have to spend more time correcting paperwork. More
