I make an appointment online to take my car in for a service appointment (oil, tires, checkup, etc..) at 8 am one day. For online it even gives me the option to ask for a loaner/rental, which would be nice, but an oil change and tire rotation shouldn't take more than what 30-45min. I could wait that long and work in the lobby. So, I walk into the Ford "quick" lane center and say "Hello, I have an appointment a 8am for a oil change and tire rotation". In which they say "But, we don't accept appointments, you just bring your car in and drop it off, right now it is a 4 to 4.5 hour wait". I just refer to the appointment that I made, how I made it online, how I have received about 6 reminders through email and text that I have an appointment this morning, no luck. So I ask to talk to the manger, in which he basically just tells me the same thing, we don't really have appointments, your just supposed to drop your car off any time. So again what is the point of making an appointment here. Apparently to let them know that you are going to be dropping your car off at that time????????? Has anyone ever made an appointment/reservation at a restaurant, showed up at that time, and then been told sorry it will be about a 2 hour wait, but thanks for letting us know in advance that you were going to be here at this time? No, because the whole meaning of appointment is to schedule a time to have it done, so that you do not have to wait. I basically just asked if there is anything he would do for me (loaner car, start my oil change now, etc...), the manger said "No". So, i walked out and said anywhere else that I go and make an appointment, i show up at that time, and 30-45mins later I am out of there.
