We attempted to purchase a 2011 F450 on June 17,2022. We communicated for over a week with phone calls and text messages to confirm that this was the truck wanted, one question we asked our salesman Duan We communicated for over a week with phone calls and text messages to confirm that this was the truck wanted, one question we asked our salesman Duane was “is the motor still all original?” His response was “yes and we do a pre DOT inspection”. We traveled over 1,100 miles round trip. On our test drive/inspection we found that the def/emission control was completely removed…… Duane confirmed this with a mechanic- we left the dealership very upset and disappointed- we never spoke to a manager. After traveling down the road 60 miles Duane called and offered $1,500.00 off the truck so we could fix the truck - we countered with $2,000 and they came back with meeting in the middle at $1,750, we drove the 60 miles back to the dealership and waited 30 minutes to do the paperwork. My husband decided to do one more walk around/inspection on the truck and found the 2 front cab bushings gone…. Surely this should have been found on the “pre DOT inspection “. Not once did a manager come out and speak to us. We left without the truck again!! This cost us time off work, gas, and 2 nights in a hotel - we would not have traveled there if the information we received was correct. More
