Purchased my Kia Optima in 2012 from bob king, but I live in Raleigh. It was a 2013 Kia Optima. All my servicing on the car through the years I dealt with the dealer in my area. I purchased a warranty throu in Raleigh. It was a 2013 Kia Optima. All my servicing on the car through the years I dealt with the dealer in my area. I purchased a warranty through Zurich and had my auto loan through ally on the day of buying at bob king. I will NEVER buy another Kia. My Kia Optimas transmission fluid line busted at 40,000 miles and they told me (RALEIGH dealer) next will be my engine they see a lot of them come in where engine blows. My car was totaled before that could happen. Long story short I was involved in a serious car accident and my car was totaled (I will say Kia optimas have excellent crash rating) I had my warranty through Zurich, called them initially to get the prorated amount left over from my warranty. They told me that bob king Kia would issue me a check. Weeks and weeks went by. I called Bob king Kia and they told me my check got issued to Ally. I explained to them that I refinanced years ago with coastal federal credit union. Why would you send the check to an old lender??? They told me that’s how they do things. Why not call me personally to see if I even have my loan through them still. I have had to call coastal because they need proof of payoff on the car and proof of payoff on the ally account. Ally isnt easy to deal with either and a month has gone by and I’m still dealing with this. I called to speak with the general manager (James Juarez) still no resolution. He told me I was the worst customer he ever dealt with and hung up on me Along with saying “I can guarantee I won’t want to help you any faster with you using cuss words” I told him great. Next subject cuss words won’t be used. He then hung up on me and told me to have a good life😱 . I’m now supposed to bank on Ally faxing over proof of payoff in one to two business days. Finance guy with bob king tells me if they issue me a check they will be commiting Bank Fraud without seeing proof of payout. They sure are willing to sell you a turd and happy to deal with you, but when it comes to issuing you your payout for your warranty...good luck👍🏻 Kias have always been known as junk. They have come a long way in looks, but reliability let’s be honest, it’s a Kia and always will be. Do yourself a favor and buy a used reliable car...Lexus, Honda, Toyota. Look up the ratings on the car before buying and do yourself a favor and don’t buy from bob king Kia....or your warranty from them!!!!!!!! Biggest thing of All DONT BUY YOUR WARRANTY from them. Unless you want to jump through 1094839928373 hoops to get your money. The only good thing I can say is they make cars much safer than they used to and my Kia saved my life. More
Take advantage of women I took my 2016 Sorento in for a recall, and to check my sunroof. I could not get the sunroof opened. After over 2 1/2 hrs later, they came back with I took my 2016 Sorento in for a recall, and to check my sunroof. I could not get the sunroof opened. After over 2 1/2 hrs later, they came back with a price of $1400.00. I did not pay this and went somewhere else. It was a resetting problem. Glad I didn’t spend my hard earned money here. I will never go back. More

Excellent beyond expections Where do I start. The sales staff was exceptional , friendly , courteous service with no sales pressure . They were very informative and payed attent Where do I start. The sales staff was exceptional , friendly , courteous service with no sales pressure . They were very informative and payed attention to our needs in what we were looking for in a vehicle. And darrel our salesman went above and beyond what most would , even though he had a bad foot and was walking with a cane because of the surgery he had on his foot. Thank you Darrel for your patience with us, and you overall awareness of what we were looking for . And then onto the financial team, who also went above and beyond to get us the deal that were looking for and getting our payments as close to what we wanted .You are and exceptional team and work together as a team with your sales people to bring the customer into your family. Which is exactly what we felt like . And this is all brought about by the owner Ron who leads his team by being on the floor not stuck in his office . He makes the whole visit to his car lot a very pleasant experience. He is one the most unique and colorful (literally) individuals that i have ever met . So would i recommend Bob King Kia to my friends and family ? Yes i would it was a very special and pleasant surprise that my wife and I both enjoyed. Faulty tires They sold me a vehicle and lied on the paperwork about the tires being non stock. So when the wheel fell off on the highway and I almost wrecked because of their faulty tires they tell me to take it to Honda cause it’s their warranty so I had it towed to Honda and they said the tires weren’t stock so it wasn’t covered. So I call bob king and tell them they need to fix it and they said no and that they don’t “look at what kind of tires that are on their cars” so basically they don’t check the safety of their vehicles. And they don’t care about the safety of their customers. I will never buy from bob king Kia because they don’t care about the safety of the cars they sell and they lie on their paperwork. Update: In response to the owners response: The only reason I wrecked was because you sold me a car with loose tires and a bogus warranty. I spoke to your general manager and they told me “too bad” and “we don’t have to help you” and have been EXTREMELY rude. I took my car to flow Honda and they have been extremely helpful and have been doing everything they can to help us, and they agree that Kia is in the wrong. I am always out in the community and work with a large census of people (greater than 1100 in the triad alone) and I will make it clear to all who listen how bob King Kia has treated my family and me. I Mean my family could have died because your people didn’t tighten the lug nuts and the wheel fell off , and your general manager says “too bad?!” Seriously?? LOVE OUR SORENTO After months of searching which vehicle would be spacious for our daughter and if trading our Mustang was worth it, both Patrick O'Clair and James Jau After months of searching which vehicle would be spacious for our daughter and if trading our Mustang was worth it, both Patrick O'Clair and James Jaurez helped me get into a new 2018 KIA Sorento. Not only did they help me and my husband into a new car but even helped us only have one loan and not two. They went above and beyond and helped my husband get rid of the loan that was under his name so that he may be able to only be paying on one vehicle. No other dealership would've thought of doing that. We appreciate our vehicle and we cannot say enough how grateful we are of the help from Patrick and James. More
