Service department is a nightmare to work with. We purchased our 2014 Kia Optima in 2018 from Carmax. We purchased MaxCare incase we experienced any issues with the vehicle within 5 years of purcha We purchased our 2014 Kia Optima in 2018 from Carmax. We purchased MaxCare incase we experienced any issues with the vehicle within 5 years of purchase, or 150,000 miles. We used the service department when the engine went out a couple months after purchase. Everything went great and we had an enjoyable experience. The past 2 times have been terrible. We had 2 mechanics tell us the bushings need to be replaced. We took it to Carmax to fix the bushing since we have MaxCare and they said to take it to Kia due to a general motors warranty with the vehicle. We dropped our Kia off on Monday April 11th. The technician sent us a video of his inspection on Wednesday, April 13th and stated it was the struts. We began calling Bob King Kia to see how long it would take to fix it and NOT include all of the extras they wanted to add on to the vehicle ($70 to install new windshield wiper blades??). We were not able to get a hold of anyone until Saturday, April 16 (the day before Easter). Our service advisor, Matt, said the struts were not covered under the warranty. We told him we had MaxCare and gave him all of the information he needed to verify the issue with them. We had called MaxCare at the same time to make sure this would be covered and they said yes. We called Matt several times that day and he said he could not get in touch with MaxCare. My husband needed the car to go to work on Monday and Tuesday. Matt and his supervisor agreed to let us take the car off the lot without paying a fee as long as we agreed to return it on Wednesday. He said he would spend Monday 4/18 getting our MaxCare covered and the parts ordered. We returned the car on Wednesday and Matt said he was having a hard time getting in touch with MaxCare. My husband called them and MaxCare said that was false. He was able to speak with someone in less than 10 minutes and MaxCare said they had not received anything from Kia, or a phone call. On Thursday, April 21st, Matt said he still couldn't get in touch with them. I called and spoke with his supervisor because my husband had to go to work the next day and work the long weekend. Matt finally called back 30 minutes after calling his supervisor and just like magic, he had called MaxCare, everything was covered and said our rental car (covered by MaxCare) would be at Bob King Kia that day for us to get. When we called later we were told it wouldn't be until Friday, April 22nd. My husband had to work that day. They said that they were "providing a luxury with the rental". We advised them that this was not a luxury because OUR insurance is paying for it, NOT them. They also had taken over a week to diagnose it and still didn't have parts ordered. My husband had to take Friday the 22nd off of work because he was without a car. We did get a rental car that day. We began calling every day, multiple times a day; no answer. I called Monday, April 25th and someone told us the struts were there and it would be ready that day. Called Matt around 4pm and he said the technician had not started on our Kia, but would start it first thing Tuesday morning. The car had been there for 2 weeks at this point for a 3 hour job. Guess what happened on Tuesday?? It wasn't ready. Couldn't get in touch with Matt, or any call back from the service department. No one would answer or call bad Wednesday, or Thursday either. FINALLY got a hold of them on Friday, April 29th and they said the technician hasn't been there since Monday and our car STILL hasn't been touched. We now have to get a new technician with them, fill out consent forms for them AGAIN, and then we're told it won't be ready until WEDNESDAY, May 4th!!!! Our car has been in the shop for 3 weeks now and communication is TERRIBLE. It is also VERY concerning because Matt has misplaced our key (he did find it), they left our car unlocked on the lot where anyone could have stole things out of it, or the vehicle, and they tell us one thing, but something different the next time we call. Our vehicle also had minor damage (my husband fixed quickly at home when we brought it back for a few days so he could use it to go to work over Easter). I know there are a lot of things going on with the economy after COVID, but we can't blame COVID on everything. Customer Service is AWFUL!! Departments don't communicate well with each other and then they don't communicate well with the customer. We are just trying to get our car back regardless if its finished or not (Carmax could have finished this 2 weeks ago). I do NOT recommend EVER shopping at this location, or using their service department!! You will have terrible communication, lies, rude behavior, possible damage to the vehicle that you might not find until later, and a long time without your car. More
Jan 2 2021 my daughter's Sorento transmission failed while she was in Greensboro. I paid to have her vehicle to be towed to Bob King Kia, the selling dealer. Took service dept. 3 days to figure out it n while she was in Greensboro. I paid to have her vehicle to be towed to Bob King Kia, the selling dealer. Took service dept. 3 days to figure out it needed a transmission. While there waiting on new transmission her car was broken into. Bob King agreed to repair her vehicle and pay for towing and rental. After 22 days her car was fixed. Service manager Brian Cost assured me after he submitted the tow and rental bills we would be reimbursed. After 50 days and over 50 calls to dealershiop and Kia we still have not been reimbursed for towing and rental. I;m talking about almost $2500.00 worth of towing and rental. If you ever have to rent and car for repairs you will never get paid back. So prepare to hire a lawyer and sue to get it back More
Took my vehicle in for repair,took 3 weeks before I got my car back,there were repairs that were not made,plus more damage caused by their repairmen, my insurance paid them,8 months later my vehicle still my car back,there were repairs that were not made,plus more damage caused by their repairmen, my insurance paid them,8 months later my vehicle still isn't fixed and they refuse to give me my money back as well as answer or return any of my messages. In December we traveled from Ringgold Ga to Winston Salem to visit our daughter for Christmas. We experienced car problems on the way and took our car to Bob King Kia for service. We were looking into buying a new Kia Sorento at this point already since ours was 10 years old.. We found nothing on the lot we were interested in so we ordered a new one. I’m telling you all of this to give a review on the dealership as a whole. The service department was very efficient, informative and customer friendly. They worked with us on our remaining warranty on our car to get the repairs covered. Any time I called and was unavailable to speak to Jaron and had to leave a message he always returned my call in a timely manner. Service department gets a 5 star!! Our salesman for our new car was Juan Ayala “Tony” . When we ordered our new car he told us it my be 3-4 months before we received it, However he called me about a month later to tell me he had just received a new 2022 SX Prestige in the exact color I wanted. We had ordered a EX but this car had everything I wanted and more. Juan went above and beyond for me to get exactly what I wanted and get it sooner than I expected. Juan was very professional and a pleasure to work with! He made me feel like a friend and not just a customer. I know he wanted the sale but he never pressured me or made me feel that way. He always responded to me in a very timely manner and has continued to respond to me with any of my concerns after the sale. I love my new Sorento and thank him for his patience with me during the process of buying it. It’s a big decision when buying a car that expensive and he was absolutely great! I give the sales department a 5 star! Also, I didn’t deal with Terry Mc Coy much but when I did he was very professional and accommodating also. I would love to give this dealership a 5 star across the board but just can’t do that. The finance department has disappointed me greatly! I worked with Antwon Reid for my financing and he was fine to start with but since he finished his part in this transaction I can’t get him to respond to me. I have left several messages for him to call me back and to this date have only heard from him once and that was after I reached out to Juan asking him to have Antwon call me ASAP. I’m not sure if he doesn’t check his VM or what! I called him 2 days ago for a important matter and still haven’t heard back from him. I called him last week and was told he was off. I then asked to speak with someone else in finance as I was at the insurance company to get my new car insurance and needed info about the finance company. Operator told me Marc was in today and was standing in front of her. She came back telling me Marc couldn’t talk to me right now as he was fixing to take a customer back but he would call me back in 45 min. 3 hours went by with no return call. When I called back he couldn’t talk to me again but gave the operator the info I needed. My point is why couldn’t he have done that when I called the first time?!!! It would have taken less than 1 minute. I had left work to take care of this and had to leave the insurance company and go back the next day! I was very inconvenienced by this as it could have been handled in a minute or less the first time I called. I live 6+ hours from this dealership! Not like I can just swing by! Financial Department has horrible customer service! They don’t return any phone calls and honestly I don’t think they give a xxxx after their part of the job is done! If your lucky enough to speak with them once you better make sure you have all you T’s crossed and I’s dotted before you hang up because you probably won’t hear from them again!! Each & every time I have taken my Kia in for a simple oil change-I am met with "your warranty ran out," "you need MANY things done to your car." All standard for service dept's to try & gouge their customers yet...twice now I have pulled away to find my caps off my oil spout on engine as well as my tire warning light shows. Both times, I was told to let them install tires twice as expensive as a tire dealer. So...since I turned down the tire sale, I have suddenly had low tire pressure-twice! The initial sale went okay but the service dept needs a total redo...their turn over in employees is flabbergasting. More

I had my vehicle in for warranty service on a failed window mechanism. I called the service advisor to check if my car was finished and got his voicemail, he finally called me back four hours later to window mechanism. This delay afforded me the opportunity to get stuck in rush hour traffic. Three days after they said the part would be in I tried calling to check the status. Once again I was sent to my service advisor's voicemail. I left three messages, no return call. Next day same thing, the following day I left a message for my service advisor, the service line supervisor, and the service manager! Still no return phone calls !! The ironic thing is, I was looking to purchase a Sorento, but I'm so upset at this dealership I'm shopping Hinda and Ford. Bob King, if you see this review, please give me a call More
2/3/21. Would not even give it one star. Both of my back doors on a 2011 Kia Sorento will not open. Not only is this a hazard if someone was in the back and I was in an accident and caught on fire bec back doors on a 2011 Kia Sorento will not open. Not only is this a hazard if someone was in the back and I was in an accident and caught on fire because the back doors could not be opened from the outside. And one of them is locked both ways. So I looked up this model and find out there has been lots of reports of this happening to the doors of this model, but no recall. My husband called and made me an appointment for 8.30 am, and the woman said it may be under warranty when there is not a recall sometimes that particular thing may be covered under warranty. So I get there and they check me in under my name, address and phone number. I waited for almost 2 hours for them to come out and call me by my uncle's name from whom I bought the car 3 years ago but yet they checked me in under my info. So they proceed to tell me what the doors will cost to fix them and all the other things that needs to be done because of the mileage on the car. I tell them only interested in the back doors and if they are covered under warranty. Then a woman came out and told me the same thing that the man told me. Also told her she had the wrong name and explained that I was only there for the back doors and needed to make sure covered under warranty. They both said they would check. One hour later still had not heard anything, texted the man and asked is it was covered under warranty? Fifteen mins later he comes out. I tell him that I am not happy that over an hour and fifteen mins had went by to check on the warranty. Which he tells me he still doesn't know and he could not reach the lady that I had also talked too. I tell him if it is not under warranty that I want my keys and I am leaving due to already being there 3 1/2 hours. So he comes back a few mins later and is having my car pulled around. He is checking me out and proceeds to tell me they have my name in the system right now and he will keep checking on the warranty( which is a joke considering they couldn't check on it in the whole 3 1/2 hours that I was there) and that my bill is $133.00. To this I say you are joking right? Nope, so I paid it to get out of there with my day off, wasted. Would never ever own another Kia with that kind of service when you have a problem. Really can not believe there is no recall on something that could be so dangerous. Didn't think to much about it when the first door messed up a couple of months ago. But when the second messed up, there is definitely something they did wrong in the manufacturing of this models doors. So done with Bob King Kia and Kia!!!!! More

Its overall a great place to buy from. I would have Iiked to have more of a choice of color and be able to pick from a few instead of just one.
