I am an Active Duty Army Soldier, a college student, and a father of three. Recently, the alternator failed, and before bringing it in, we had the charging system tested at O'Reilly Auto Parts, where the test indicated the alternator was bad. Because the vehicle has such low mileage, we believed this repair would clearly fall under warranty coverage. We brought the vehicle to Bob Moore Kia on 5/9 for inspection and replacement of the alternator. I was upfront from the beginning that I change my own oil to save money and have maintained my own vehicles for over a decade. Later, my wife received a call stating the warranty claim was being denied because oil had allegedly dripped onto the alternator and caused it to fail. However, the photos they provided showed only minor oil residue on the exterior of the alternator, with no visible physical damage. One of the photos they referenced regarding the “circuit boards and diodes” even appeared dry. Since then, I have spoken with three independent mechanics — two from Kingfisher and one from Hennessey — and all three stated that oil residue on the outside of an alternator would not normally cause the alternator itself to fail internally. What made this experience more frustrating was the large list of additional services recommended after the warranty denial, including air filters, fuel induction service, throttle body cleaning, A/C services, wheel balancing, alignments, and more. Ironically, their own inspection report marked the engine oil and many major systems as “passed.” During the inspection, there was heavy focus placed on oil residue around the oil filter housing and alternator area, including multiple photos being shown to us. As someone who has maintained vehicles for years, it honestly felt embarrassing and as though blame was being placed on my maintenance before the alternator failure itself was fully considered. What made this even more concerning was later receiving an official Kia warranty extension notice acknowledging known oil leak issues in this same area on 2020–2025 Kia Telluride vehicles. At the end of the day, this experience left me feeling like they were searching for reasons to deny warranty coverage on a low-mileage family vehicle rather than objectively evaluating the alternator failure itself. Because the warranty was denied, I am now preparing to replace the alternator myself while also preparing to leave for military orders at the end of the month. I am in hopes to have it done for my family before I leave, that away they are not stranded without a vehicle. This experience honestly opened my eyes to how important it is to protect yourself when dealing with dealerships. Customers should document everything, ask questions, and not automatically assume the dealership is acting in their best interest. At the end of the day, it can sometimes feel like making money matters more than taking care of the customer. I am truly thankful for Levi, my new service advisor. I've been coming here for service since I purchased my K5 in 2022. I had an issue with a wireless charger years ago - and the previous service adviso I've been coming here for service since I purchased my K5 in 2022. I had an issue with a wireless charger years ago - and the previous service advisor I had let me know it was covered under my factory warranty - and that he had ordered the charger and it would come in soon. Months went by and I never received any update - so I reached out and was told that it was on back order... Fast forward another few months - called again - and was told he was still waiting on it to come in. I felt like I was bugging him, so I just decided to wait for the update.. A year or so has now passed.. and every time I called in - I expressed my frustration - and was told someone would get back to me with an update - that never happened. I had to take my vehicle in for a recall recently - and was connected with Levi. I spoke with Levi about my wireless charger issue and after approximately two years - Levi was the first person I worked / spoke with that actually called me back and gave me an update. The part was never ordered - and my factory warranty was expired at this point. Levi let me know he was going to try his best to get this resolved for me... He got back to me within a few hours and let me know he was able to connect with Mike - and they are going to get it taken care of. They had ordered the part which will now be here within a week after years of the run around. Customer Service truly goes a long way. If Levi wouldn't have stepped up, been communicative, and helped me - I would still be here waiting on a part that was never ordered. This would have been a one-star review, but Levi communicated with me, he was transparent, and he took care of my problem in a timely manner. Kudos to him, I truly appreciate his help. Also, Evan works in sales there, and he's pretty amazing at his job - so if you're looking for a new vehicle hit up Evan... and if you're looking for an amazing service advisor... hit up Levi. They both will have you covered!! More

I had a troublesome noise after my rear brake job. I took the car back to find the problem. The issue turned out to be my "front" rotors, etc. Jonathan looked at my repair history and didn't charge me I took the car back to find the problem. Took a little while but the Service Center customer waiting area was by all means a 5 Star area. Service center has a Play Area with toys for children, a fully automatic Coffee / Cappuccino machine which is Free, Free Charging Station for just about every kind of phone and a very comfortable seating area with 1st class seating. I was initially told that the diagnostics Check might not be covered if warranty item was not the cause of air bag issue, Luckly it was the problem resulting in no cost to me. Service Center Technicians also repaired two Recall defective items. Our Service Consultant, Nathan Powers went out of his way to make sure Wife & I was continually kept up-to-date status of repairs and estimated completion. Overall, there is no other Automobile Dealer like Bob Moore, very courteous and not one Sales Rep tried to show or sell us a new car after informing them we were here for repairs not to buy anything. Bob Moore KIA is The Best, Period. More
