Just before Christmas, a spark plug (installed at a another auto repair) broke to pieces and ruined the entire engine in my 2016 Sorento. When the Bob Moore technicians took the engine apart, they noticed the turbo charger also needed to be replaced. Total bill: over $13,000. The service rep, Renee Doctorman, could hear my anguish over the phone. Fix it or junk it? I decided to fix it, but $13,000 was close to the worth of the entire vehicle, and it was an unplanned expense. Renee felt so bad for me that she consoled me on the phone (when has that happened to you?), then spoke with her service manager, Mike Nguyen, about discounting the labor charges. He approved the discount and they also completely detailed my car, as if they were preparing it for sale, as a courtesy. In all, they helped me to the tune of over $1,000 (when has that ever happened to you?). When I picked up my car, the whole team was friendly and kind. They obviously love working together and care about their customers. In 48 years of driving, I have never been treated as thoughtfully, professionally, kindly, and caringly as I was a Bob Moore Kia.
