I took my car in for recall service. I dropped my car off the night before for an 8:00am appointment. I left it there all day on a Friday. I was never contacted to let me know when my car would be ready for the night before for an 8:00am appointment. I left it there all day on a Friday. I was never contacted to let me know when my car would be ready for pick up. I had to call and was told it would likely be ready by 5:00. I showed up at 5:00 and was handed the keys to a dirty car and pointed to where it was parked. I never spoke to an advisor. I have no idea what recall service was performed on my car. I was given a voucher for a car wash that I will never use since I live 20 miles away. I’m glad I took the initiative to text the service advisor or my car may have been there all weekend! I do give one star because I was pleased that the appointment scheduler contacted me initially with a message that recall parts were available and she wanted to make an appointment for me. If I compare Bob Penkus Volvo service department to Schomp BMW (where I take another car) Volvo would not receive any stars. But BMW sets the bar high so maybe that is an unfair comparison. More

The Service Dept team is always cheerful, courteous and professional. This visit was not different. My vehicle was whisked away and returned much faster than expected, even removing my bike rack before was professional. This visit was not different.
