Took my 2021 Silverado in for repair of the gas door on Oct. 12. Service rep Jacob advised the part had to be ordered and scheduled service for Oct. 16 at 8:30 AM. I arrived on Oct 16 at 8:10. I was met by service rep Matt who wrote the service order and he advised the service would take 1.5 hours to complete. I told him I would wait in the lobby. After waiting for 4 hours I texted Matt asking if there was a problem. I did not get an answer so I went to the service desk to ask Matt for the status of my truck. Matt stated it was with the technician. AT 5:45 PM my truck was pulled to the delivery lane for pickup. At 6:00 PM my truck was moved to the parking lot and I asked the driver if my truck was ready. The driver asked me if anyone had contacted me. I replied no one had contacted me all day after I had waited 9.5 hours. The driver to me to the service desk where I spoke to Jacob. Jacob stated he did not know my truck had been checked in for service. I told him Matt had checked me in at 8:30. I asked Jacob why it took so long and he stated the technician did not start the job until late in the day and he had not been told the owner was waiting in the lobby. I am not happy with the service desk in that they did not update me on the status of my truck. I waited 9.5 hours without eating breakfast, lunch and missed an early dinner with my wife who was not happy about waiting all day to go grocery shopping. I finally drove away from the dealership at 6:22 PM after spending 10 hours waiting on a service job that was scheduled for 1.5 hours to replace a gasoline access door. The service desk needs to update customers periodically on the status of their vehicle. Clarence Ranow 321-639-4917
