I own a 2015 Silverado with the 8" touch screen infotainment system. A few years ago it started acting up, not responding to touch, dead spots so I went to Bob Steele where I purchased the truck. infotainment system. Since it was out of warranty I bit the bullet and forked over the 1000.00 to replace it in 2023 and everything was fine for two years. The screen has been acting up for a he past year or so and once again needs replacement. This time I ordered the screen online for 59.00 and will replace it myself, it's not rocket science after all. Took the old unit out, about a half hour to remove and what do I find? A refurbished unit!! I spend a 1000.00 for a refurbished unit? They sure do have the right name, Steele because that's what they do... More
