Never go here, EVER. My wife's 2011 Equinox was purchased here as "certified" used. There was an overheating issue. She brought it to closest garage which was a Meineke an My wife's 2011 Equinox was purchased here as "certified" used. There was an overheating issue. She brought it to closest garage which was a Meineke and they informed her it was a broken balance chain. This is a covered GM repair for this type of 4cylinder engine. Not a recall, a "service bulletin". So, she brought it to McDermott for repair. Service proceeded to tell it wasn't the balance chain but instead a blown head gasket. They took 2 weeks to "fix" it and when they were putting it all back together, found the broken balance chain and replaced it, still charging us the $2k for the "blown" head gasket even though the broken balance chain was CLEARLY the reason for the overheating. Of course, we knew none of this until after the vehicle was finally ready and my wife picked it up. Now all of a sudden, they don't know our names and don't return calls or emails. I'm going to post this review on every media outlet that takes reviews of car dealerships. Not only should you not buy a vehicle from McDermott, you shouldn't use their service department either! More
