He answered every intricate question we had, provided unique advice for our situation, found a path that worked MORE than comfortably for our family, showed genuine care and humor towards our two small, active children -- even to the point of cleaning up the formula and ice cream we dropped on the sales floor! Not only that, but he took extra time to explain all of the different opportunities available to us through the car's accessories and has even scheduled our future oil changes with him, where he will personally come pick up our car from our home, leave his car for us and take our car in for it's oil change and car washes; then he will bring it back. We have always purchased General Motors products in the past. Consumer Report gives Honda a very high rating. A woman I work with ownes a Honda Pilot and gives her's a excellent report, so I started chec past. Consumer Report gives Honda a very high rating. Michael Minner contacted us and we set up a time to come to the dealership (30 miles). We were very pleased with the whole experience and were not preasured at any time. Jason Galeski was our finance person and that was a favorable experience and we worked out exactly what I wanted. We drove home the same day with the Certified 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L we wanted. If we have a choice, we will never ever get near a car salesman especially when he is in his comfort zone --- the car lot. That is why we opted to focus our search via Internet, printed materials, and peeking at parked cars from a distance. However, our experience with Mike Knollhoff of Bommarito Honda somehow changed how we view a car salesman: he was helpful in answering our questions on 1) selecting a car that fits our needs; 2) negotiating a trade-in; and 3) getting the best financing arrangement. He never pushed us to make decisions right away and he was respectful of the process. That is not to say that he was not quick in getting the car that we needed (and wanted!) once we signified our interest to buy… Mike is really an ideal car salesman, he followed up on us if we liked the car that we took home; he devoted some time to discuss the features and functionalities of the new car; he made sure the paperwork is properly handled and delivered to us so we can register with DMV… and he even sent a box of cookie to bribe my kids! Not only that, he promised to help me with some of my questions re: my other (old) Honda car. Of course, I still cannot say that all car salesmen are equally awesome… because there is only one salesman that we liked so far. However, if you really want to have that unique positive experience in getting that next car, choose the right brand of (not so typical) car salesman: Mike Knollhoff! More
