Not the dealership to use if you are an out-of-state buyer. They will not hold a car with a deposit, I was interested in a used car that I felt was overpriced. The car was not selling for several wee buyer. They will not hold a car with a deposit, I was interested in a used car that I felt was overpriced. The car was not selling for several weeks and I kept making offers to the same salesperson and asking him to present it to his manager. I explained that I was an out-of-state buyer and could not just swing by the dealership, but would be willing to leave a deposit over the phone. I was told that it was their dealership's policy to not accept deposits to hold a car. They said they would be willing to hold a car only for a day. I contacted this dealership many times a week, for weeks presenting my very fair offer. The Monday following a weekend that I was in contact with them, they lowered the price on the car that I was making offers on to a price that was LOWER than my offer. I again contacted them and said I wanted to buy the car. They again said they would not hold the car for the week. I asked them to make an exception since I had been in contact with them for weeks and offered more than their asking price. They still wouldn't hold the car. They sold it before the weekend when I could get there. Again, if you are an out-of-state buyer, they will not work with you. More
