Gene Kaganovsky did a wonderful job at each phase of the purchase: 1) sorting through the various options, 2) explaining the ordering process and associated timing, 3) coordinating the financing portion, 4) keeping me up to date on the delivery of the vehicle, and 5) taking a significant amount of time to demonstrate and help set many of the various electronic functions for the vehicle once it had arrived. Gene was great to work with and very responsive when I had questions along the way. More

Gene our sales rep was upfront with pricing and fair in the final price we agreed upon. The staff at the dealership was friendly and got me a very competitive rate for financing the vehicle. Definitely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new or used car. I visited 5 dealerships looking for this type of SUV and borton was by far my best experience. More

Andy was very personable, interested and engaging from Day One through delivery. Andy was always professional and considerate. Andy was also very knowledgeable of the Volvo products - offering suggestions and perspectives when warranted. The delivery and sales were very smooth and thorough - starting with Andy, ending with Craig and Joella on the closing. I appreciate the time and attention of Adam, the Service Manager and Tyler, one of the techs. Lots of useful information and advance. More

The service dept went the "Extra Mile", to get it right! My granddaughters 96 850 ran very poorly when cold (dangerous stalling) but fine when warm. Took it in for diagnosis. It came back with the report s My granddaughters 96 850 ran very poorly when cold (dangerous stalling) but fine when warm. Took it in for diagnosis. It came back with the report saying it needed a coolant temp sensor and while at it; plugs, wires, cap, rotor thermostat. I paid the diagnostic charge, took it to my mechanics shop, did all the recommended repairs and behold, no difference. I returned to Borton's in GV and raised a stink. They graciously took the old gold rusty girl back. They spent many hours trying to identify the source of the problem, assigning some of their top guys to crack the nut. I believe they accepted this challenge and were not going to be stumped They called a few days later and said the believed the problem was a faulty TPS. They offered to order the part at cost and do a free install. I said no, I would pay for labor. I paid for the diagnosis, part at cost and $50 labor. The result, a perfect running old Volvo and a happy high school senior. Thanks, to the parts and service people and everyone else, I give you an A+ and will tell others about your commitment to customer satisfaction! More

Annoyed Scheduled a maintenance appt, plus needed a new decal put on my emblem. Arrived and was told that my free maintenance package had expired. Wish I' Scheduled a maintenance appt, plus needed a new decal put on my emblem. Arrived and was told that my free maintenance package had expired. Wish I'd been told that when I made my appt, but I can live with it--I guess I could have been paying attention. They said they could do an oil change for $80. When I questioned the price, I was told it was the best price in town for a synthetic oil change. I declined knowing that was untrue. When I asked about the sticker for the emblem, I was told they could still do that under the warranty--but it would take an hour and a half. I asked if I could just take the sticker and do it myself, they said "no", but that I could go over to parts and see if they had one I could purchase--they wouldn't give it to me for free even tho it was covered by warranty because they said they had to do the work. I wasn't asking for a steering wheel! Let's use some common sense! And by the way, I have an appt at a local garage this afternoon to get an oil change---SAME OIL as Borton uses for $69.99. More
Service at Borton on my S80 I have had my 2 Volvo's at Borton for service many times, and when I read this website I was surprised to see the negative comments. There can always I have had my 2 Volvo's at Borton for service many times, and when I read this website I was surprised to see the negative comments. There can always be a mistake, but I have to say that I am very impressed with how many times Borton Service staff has done their best job for me. My recent service was the timing belt for the S80, and it was done with perfection at a good price. I was told that there are some bushings which are starting to go, and that they aught to be fixed sometime soon. Again, I was very happy with the service and with the report of what to look out for. I can also report that my S80 had a coolant leak but only on very cold winter days. This leak required a total rebuild of the engine main head gasket, and this was fortunately done while the vehicle was in warranty (barely). This job concerned me, but the car has done very well for a few years now after this major repair. Great job Borton. More
Horrible service x2 Picked up our X-Country & the "CHECK ENGINE" light was STILL illuminated after having it serviced & paid for! Car was there 2 days. Primary thought go Picked up our X-Country & the "CHECK ENGINE" light was STILL illuminated after having it serviced & paid for! Car was there 2 days. Primary thought going through my head after "COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT" was - "Hmmm, wonder if the $230 I just paid for the turbo sensor was the WRONG part & a COMPLETE WASTE!!!" By the way, the Turbo was a best guess with what was going on with the vehicle. Customer service is like dealing with a mortuary where it's difficult to tell between the mortician and the body (I won't name names). About a year ago, we had the 2002 X-Country in for a full checkup on EXACTLY what needed to be done to keep it safe & rolling - brakes, engine, fluids, etc. A week afterward the "OIL" light came on & I checked the dipstick & there was NO OIL IN THE VEHICLE!!! Is this not the most basic function of having the entire vehicle inspected; or for anytime the vehicle enters their service department??? Did they not check THIS fluid level??? Again, INCOMPETENCE & POOR SERVICE just do not cut it anymore. Review Borton's online comments & then do likewise for KLINE'S. We will now be taking the LONG, LONG drive to KLINE'S since they seem to care about service, are friendly, & perform & service with high ratings. We've been there once & there seems to be a vast difference (an understatement). Gotta wonder whether BORTON believes they have a lock on the Western burbs so, Who cares? I do. I will not be back for service at BORTON, let alone the eventual purchase of a new Volvo. More
