Mr. Lavosky, I am sorry to hear that your new Flex is a total loss. I certainly hope no one was injured. We received a phone call from Tom Anderson with USAA insurance. I was able to review the call as it was recorded. Mr. Anderson began the conversation by stating that USAA had used their standard CC1 evaluation and had arrived at a figure of $31,626 before tax and that you were not happy with that number. His purpose for calling us was to ask if we had a demonstrator Flex available which we did not. Bozard Ford Lincoln has no bearing on what your insurance company offers for settlement. Your issue is better directed to USAA. We are not perfect and there are times when we fall short but this is not one of those times. I did however review your deal and found that your purchase price was $36,750. The difference between the price you paid for the new Flex and the $31,628 that USAA offered as settlement is $5124 not $17,000. Your review of our store is untrue and undeserved. I am the first one in line to accept responsibility when it is due. I can not accept responsibility for something that we did not contribute to nor have any control over.
