Tom Krell and Bryan Wilson have done it again! This is my second time buying from Bozard Ford and second time writing a review on them. And I have to say, they have out done them selves! The first time was back on September 1, 2012, I walked away with a little gem of a car. A 2005 Honda Civic in absolutely impeccable condition and very well priced. It was by far the best experience I've had buying a vehicle. From the respectful and attentive way they both treated my wife and I to how proud and excited Tom and Bryan were in recommending some of the best places to go in St. Augustine, FL. This time I found another gem in a 2009 Honda Accord EX-L (I love Hondas, no offense to Fords!). I emailed Tom late in the day Saturday about this car, and he responded right back, even though he was already at his home. We agreed to meet first thing on Sunday morning but I told Tom we only had about an hour and a half to be there because the wife and I had an event we needed to attend at 2:00PM. We arrived at 11:30AM, Tom quickly pulled up the car and again graciously allowed me to examine the car while he went to work on taking my trade and telling Bryan Wilson from Financial Services, to be ready for us and that we were pressed for time. Upon returning from the test drive (by the way, the car was awesome!), we sat with Bryan as he thoroughly presented the finance options and shortly after that we had everything approved and signed. By 2:00PM, my wife and I were arriving at our event on time and on our new car! Thanks to Tom and Bryan who went above and beyond to make sure my needs and concerns were met. 7 dealerships in 2 days, a pain staking process until we arrived at Bozard Ford and were greeted by Stephen Purdy's smiling and more importantly caring and sincere face. Unfortunately, traits that can be hard to come by particularly when purchasing an automobile. Stephen did something completely different than most (not all) of the salesman we encountered prior, he listened. Stephen payed attention and because of this he was able to establish the needs of our family, meet them and ultimately assist us with making the 2nd biggest purchase in a families lifetime (purchase a car). Might I add PAINLESSLY! Which I think most people would agree is extremely rare. I also later found out that Stephen graduated high school the same year I did within the same county(we were rivals). As much as I wanted to hold that against Stephen his customer service more than made up for the fact that his football team kicked my football teams booty. I also need to mention AJ Miller in Finance. He was thorough, professional and funny. AJ was able to make a situation that most people would dread enjoyable. Would I recommend Bozard Ford? Hands down. Would I purchase another vehicle from Bozard Ford? You betcha. If you are in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle. Bryan told me that Bozard is a great dealership and he buys his cars from there – and wrote the telephone number and the words “ask for Ricky” on a piece of paper for me. About 1 week later I dropped by to ask my pal Bryan for a little help with my android phone and he asked “how’s my favorite car salesman Ricky doing”? I asked what was so special about Ricky and he told me that he’s the nicest, most decent and trustworthy car salesman that he ever met in his life – and that Bozard Ford has always treated him great whether he was buying a new car or getting his car serviced. I decided to drop by Bozard Ford that day to finally test-drive the new 2013 Ford Escape that came highly recommended by Consumer Reports and other car research sites on the internet. As soon as I walked into Bozard I asked for Ricky and he was pointed out to me in the showroom as the guy about my age wearing the hat and friendly smile. I walked over and introduced myself to Rick and told him my friend Bryan said that he was the best car salesman he ever knew, shook hands and began the process of test-driving and finally purchasing the 2013 Ford Escape I wanted. As a retired cop I’ve always been suspicious of car salesmen and car dealerships for a very good reason – they want me to buy their car at the highest possible profit for themselves while giving me the worst possible deal. I don't buy or get my car serviced at disreputable dealerships. I trust Bozard Ford - they were great and I was so impressed with their service department I bought a service contract there. I bought my 2013 Ford Escape SEL from Ricky Goodwin and I know I got a good deal. Ricky couldn’t have been nicer – or more honest (really!). Rick’s only interest was to help me buy the car I wanted and he never tried any of the dirty tricks other car salesmen tried to resort to. Rick and his support staff at Bozard were fantastic! The Finance Manager was another great guy I’ll never forget, TJ Bernal. I was pre-financed and didn’t need to finance through Ford – but TJ actually did offer a slightly better interest rate than I already had. I told him I preferred to use my pre-approved loan with the NFCU because I do all my banking with them, so he just helped me finish the paperwork with the loan I already had while we enjoyed a friendly conversation during the paperwork process. I left Bozard Ford last Friday with my beautiful new 2013 Ford Escape after Ricky spent an hour or so teaching me how to use the new technology. Never before in my life have I felt so confident I bought a great car at a great price. I’ve also never felt as comfortable with the integrity of an Auto Dealership/Service Dept as I am with Bozard Ford, thanks to my favorite car salesman of all time - Ricky Goodwin and the Finance guy TJ Bernal. From this point on I will give my family and friends the same advice that my pal Bryan gave me when looking to buy a car – go to Bozard Ford and ask for Ricky.
