Almost Outstanding My first visit to this dealership. First impressions on arrival were excellent. Very busy and crowded drive-in area, with lots of cars waiting. I was met by someone from service within five minutes, and he took some information and promised a Service Writer would be with me as soon as possible. Waited another 10 minutes, and the Service Writer showed up. Very courteous and friendly. He took additional information, along with the coupon I received in the mail. He explained the wait would be 1 1/2 hours, then directed me to the waiting area. Waiting area, as one might expect, was crowded. I noticed a very nice food service area, with an extensive menu of made-to-order items. Food service manager was also very courteous, friendly, and helpful. Within five minutes, I received a text message instructing me on what to do to follow the service progress on my Odyssey. And I sat down to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait some more. After a little over three hours, I heard my name called and a different service person was there. He escorted me to the Cashier and told me about my car and the final price. I noticed that I was charged a different amount than the coupon I brought had stated. He explained that somehow, the "system" always adds a dollar, and no one can change it. Admittedly one dollar is not much, but it makes the entire dealership look somehow less trustworthy. You advertise one price, and then charge another? Some might suggest that is a classic "bait and switch" con. And it makes me wonder about other services charges? Do you quote one price, but then at checkout, it is something different? Hummmm? And how many people notice? My recommendations: 1. If the wait is going to be longer than originally estimated, send a text (you clearly have my phone number) and explain the new estimate. And give a quick apology. That is not much of a change, but it makes your Service Dept. look much more professional and caring. 2. Fix the "system" so that advertised prices - whether on coupons, newspapers, or the internet - are the prices actually charged. This is only common sense. 3. Have someone from Service contact a Sales Dept. person who is not currently helping a customer and give them my name. My car is old and has a quarter of a million miles on it. Sometime soon, I will be looking for something new. A quick visit by someone from Sales, while I was sequestered in the waiting area, might have generated a sale, or at least a lead that could be followed up later. And it would have substantially added to my impression of the quality and professionalism of this dealership. Summary: my overall impression of this Service Dept. was good, but the two glaring errors caused me to downgrade this visit to three stars. Or to put it another way, on your first time at bat, you guys got a hit and the batter made it to second, but errors kept the runner from rounding third and making it to home base. More

This time I got to the service department few minutes after 8pm. Looked pretty desolate. Gathered up my things and was about to step out and was asked if I needed help. I gave all my information to the service advisor and she patiently took all the info. I then realized she was heading towards her car to go home, when she stopped to help me out. She was very helpful that evening and kept me upto date over the next couple days as John was on vacation and I had 4 vehicles playing musical chairs. As a consumer I can always spend my money anywhere and be treated fairly, but when people like Donna Hall, John Lafemina and Steven (valet) make it a pleasure to bring my vehicles in for service it is a whole new experience. I started, with them, by leasing a car several years ago and was so pleasantly surprised at how they followed up when every I had a question I then began purchasing cars outright. Without a doubt when the time comes to buy another car, I will buy it from these fine people. BTW I have sent a number of friends up to Brandon Honda and they have all thanked me of the suggestion. One of those friends has now bought three cars from BH and would not even think of going anywhere else. More
