We have always been a Lexus family. When we decided to move to Idaho where our young grandchildren were, we knew we wanted a car for me that would be SAFE and comfortable to drive. So we decided to visit Brandon Tomes Subaru to check out Subarus. We were greeted with a smile by Jacob Plumlee. He asked the right questions that lead us to the Outback Touring. After Jacob and Jeff Sapp (who did a great job) found the right one for me, (cause I’m pretty picky), we were on our way. Recovering from knee surgery, I was exhausted so Jacob and Jeff made the executive decision to have Jacob come to our home for me to sign the paperwork. That is customer service you just don’t see anymore. Jacob has followed up, Jeff has followed up so NOW, I have a beautiful new car that I can feel SAFE and can’t wait to get to Idaho to have our oldest grandson 10 to teach me all the bells and whistles! Overall a good experience. Only real issue we had was a misunderstanding of the Subaru Military Discount program by Jose. We were told thank you for your service, but that the Only real issue we had was a misunderstanding of the Subaru Military Discount program by Jose. We were told thank you for your service, but that the discount could not be applied due to the dealership losing money if anymore was "taken off". We explained that they would not lose money because it was a manufacturer discount, but were still told no. We walked and were subsequently stopped by Yumna and told that a misunderstanding had occurred and that the discount would be honored. We went back in and had a "chat" with Jose and another manager about the importance of understanding dealer programs vs manufacturer programs and an apology was issued on behalf of the dealership. There was some swag offered as a result which I politely declined to accept and instead asked that they not do that again to an active duty person or veteran, to which they said it would not happen again. Simple misunderstanding that was quickly rectified. Besides that hiccup, there were no other substantial areas of concern. More
