Well I’m still very upset with the service department. I had the Optima and my daughter’s Jetta in for annual inspection. They said the Jetta needed new brake pads, okay. Now I’m wondering if they that wa I had the Optima and my daughter’s Jetta in for annual inspection. They said the Jetta needed new brake pads, okay. Now I’m wondering if they that was true. Then there was the Optima. Crystal called me at first noting that there was a wiring problem to the left headlight. Then the story changed to a disconnected light, but on both sides. Then the story changed again to the headlights weren’t OEM and wouldn’t pass inspection. As I told Steve, these headlights have been in the car for 3 years and Brown Daub didn’t have an issue with them on the last three inspections. All of a sudden it’s a $1000 problem. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the wiper blades. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the wiper blades. I drove the Optima there in the rain! Steve said it was up to the technician’s discretion. What a load of crap. If the wipers work and aren’t torn, they should pass. With that logic, your technician can fail any part for any reason. I’m disappointed that Steve didn’t do anything to make this right. I hope the service management is happy. You ruined a 7-year relationship. I have a choice where I get my car and the other 3 family cars serviced. It won’t be at Brown Daub KIA going forward. More
