Unnecessary Made a recall appt based on receiving a letter. When phoned in for appt date, we were told that an eariler recall needed to be completed too. Once the Dealership service department got the vehicle for work, they did immediately tell us that all recall was previously finished. Thanks to the heads up Service dept eventually. I asked about a problem that I noticed about a month ago. The driver front seat bottom trim (plastic) separated due to a break in connecting pieces. I don't think I did anything to cause it to break. The car is 2 years old and has 32,000 miles. I asked about this and the service advisor told me that it is not covered by warranty. I can accept this, but I wanted to communicate with Toyota that I thought they had a design flaw in the seat trim and either mine was faulty, or they should re-engineer the piece for future cars. I have owned three Honda Pilots and never had this problem. The service advisor told gave me a repair estimate of $339.22. I went to the Toyota website, but could not find any way to communicate with them. The site gave me a telephone number to call, but the number did not connect with anything. So, I will use this to express my concern. Hopefully, Byers can communicate with Toyota. More
