I took my car that had a check engine light into the dealership. I was told there was a 48 hr diagnostic window. I called the dealership 5 days later to see where my car stood, only to find they had no dealership. I was told there was a 48 hr diagnostic window. I called the dealership 5 days later to see where my car stood, only to find they had no idea what the problem was. OK, maybe it was hard to diagnose, but my service advisor (who gave me very little service and never advised me of the status) acted like I was bothering him to find the status. I would have expected a call informing me of the status, but they were radio silent to me. After (finally) diagnosing the problem (2 days later) they ordered the part. This was Tuesday at noon. The part arrived by 2 day FedEx on Friday afternoon. EVERY other place that has fixed cars for me gets the part that day or the next. To wait another 3 days for the part and then he couldn't give me a time when the car would be ready - his quote - "do you want it fast or do you want it right?) Really? That's the choices at the dealership? I finally got my car the following Thursday - 17 days after bringing it in, 17 days of paying for a rental car, and 17 days of me having to track the status, because no one informs you what's going on. Not impressed and will stay away in the future. More
